If everybody called their own fouls the game would flow better and probably be more fair for everyone.
I've always felt that way. Refs have so much ability to dictate pace and control a game whether due to personal/gambling or incompetency. I swear we would get better games where the teams decided the outcome if it was self officiated.
Or more realistically if we only had 1, maybe 2 officials on the floor. Sure, you'd miss some calls but I'd rather miss a few calls and have less guys feeling the need to blow their whistle throughout the game.

You should hope for additional refs, the past 2-3 years have been mindnumbingly awful by the zebras, much of it to our demise. But they also manage to totally screw our opponents just enough to not cause rioting.

Better then what we have now on all levels. I will say I laugh more during games with the way the games are being called. Basketball is about as bad as football now. Something needs to change. Lol

Just inside your arena today and it looks nice. Saw Bilas and gang inside doing a spot for tomorrow's Gameday. Went across the street and checked out the Swamp too as I've never been there.
lol trust me you want the refs to be a part of the game it basically gives you all a 8v5 advantage if there's officials officiating this game right from the tip off. Almost guaranteed to get a screw job by the refs. Seems to be that 3 out of every 4 games we play the refs call an absolutely one sided game in our opponents favor.
This x 100. Especially against UF . My most hated rival of UK being I live in Jax. UL never beats us basically , IU same and are irrelevant but UF , Duke , UNC , KU those are the rivals I care about . Obviously UF ain't on the others level but they have been the 2nd best team since 2000 or so and I started watching UK in 91 so the 2 teams I hate are Arkansas and UF as those have been the 2 power house SEC teams in my lifetime.

I don't feel abit good about this game. Gators always seem to bring their A game vs Cats at home.
Florida is very fundamentally sound, going to be a barn burner. A little added pressure for me, my 22 year old is a Florida fan so I get to watch this nail bitter with him in my ear all night. Come on Cats, pull this one out. This is one of the most under rated Gator teams I have watched, they do not have the stupid mental lapses and poor shot selection and needless turnovers previous teams had that would let teams stay in it.
Earvin Walker was fun to watch, but he would shoot Florida in and out of games with his dumb decision making. The guards now (other than Hill), take very good care of the ball and find open men and take very good shots.

I am with you on this. Living in Florida right next door to Gator fans is a Cross To Bear. Let's run them out of their own gym. My preference of teams to beat in order are: Kansas, Duke, UNC, UL and UF. Indiana may edge them out if we played them. I go back to the days of Alligator Alley and I can tell you even then, going to Gainesville was not a walk in the park.
