With the league losing all 5 games yesterday, what looked like a laugher became damn tight. 6-5

The Northwestern game was a coaching clinic on how to give a game away.

Up 8 with 4 minutes to go, up 5 with a minute left. Miss shot, Pitt scores with 2 FTs 35 seconds.....let Pitt steal inbound pass for layup....lead goes from 5 to 1 in under 10 seconds....

NW calls timeout, gets ball inbounds (barely), almost have a 10 second half court violation....get ball to Buie, their most experienced guard with 2 FTs with up 1.....bricks both FG, Pitt rebounds, drives up court, gets drunk at 5 seconds left to take lead by 1.

Northwestern is much better than last year, will spring a couple of upsets this year.

Indiana giving up non stop offensive boards or they would have won

There were three cancelled games, MSU/VA, Michigan/NC St, Louisville/Wisconsin, three of the B1G's best. Of the games played, #14 7 win Nebraska and #13 8 win Northwestern and #11 Indiana lost by 1 to one of their top 4. Other loss #10 Purdue and #12 Minnesota won. (Tied for 1st)Maryland took a hit losing their top 2 guys(Cowan 16.3 and Smith 15.5) and everyone has to figure out their roles in conference. It took Rutgers 1 year and 9 games into 2019-20 after we lost Corey Sanders and Deshawn Freeman, our top 2 from 2017-18.

Succeeding in a mid major does not equate to winning in a major conference. His teams are soft

Yes, at least his Indiana teams have been soft and underachieving...Even the studs he gets like Romeo Langford and Jackson-Davis appear to have no drive and seem disinterested. Surprisingly, his Dayton teams played with an edge. Maybe it’s an Indiana thing because no one got less out of more than his predecessor, Tom Crean.
