It's all South Florida. They account for half the cases and over half the deaths in 3 counties last I checked: Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade Counties.
Here in Orlando: Orange Co: 28,591 cases 212 deaths
Seminole Co: 6419 cases 72 deaths
Population of these counties: 1,872,000. So, 1.22% of the population tested positive and .015% of the population has died from it. I bet those numbers are on par with regular flu.
Overall case numbers on the decline. You're seeing the lagging deaths from the case peak a couple weeks ago.
I still only know 4 people who have gotten it and it's the same 4 people who found out on June 16th and I was with all of them on June 13th. Almost entirely asymptomatic. All younger people. I thought for sure after them I would see a lot but I didn't. The reason: it's largely South Florida. Multi generational family units living together, so one person gets it, mostly from not following the rules, then the whole family gets it.
