It was never proven the discrimination was race based... indeed there were many other factors, most of them were of an economic nature. In only 1 case was race even suggested as a reason why rents were denied and that was not clear because the complainants who were Black, still did not meet the financial criteria established to qualify on their application proving they could actually afford the apartment... this was why the case was settled because it was not easy to prove in favor of the plaintiffs that there was actual race based discrimination going on.
Many other Blacks were rented to in Trump managed properties they could afford to rent. Not the definition of "racist".
