It is mind blowing that anyone (whether a Yankees fan or hater) would consider that series a choke. Considering this was a rebuilding year, to be one game away from the World Series is insane...

Why do you even post on Yankees threads besides you hate them and their success?
You are the stupid idiot who became a Mets fan
Don't blame us for a poor *** choice.
OK tough guy,be honest, what did you think after game 5 up 3-2. Did you think total dismantling, 12-1 was going to happen? I have to tell you, it was beyond my wildest dreams that they would go out in such a weak showing. The stage might have been just a little to big,I guess.

Not a choke,it was a epic fail being out scored 12-1 in the last 2 games.Be realistic for Christ sake.Leaving Yankee Stadium up 3-2, did any of you envision that?
Who cares. Both teams held serve at home. After losing the first two in Houston with no hitting did you expect it to change. Especially with Verlander? Sometimes your an idiot. The rest of the time you are a complete moron. You don't know jack ship about baseball.

OK, MR. Name Caller. I know baseball has the weakest home field advantage in all sports. You go ahead and keep using home field as an insurmountable hill to climb. You can't even admit you had their ticket punched to go to the World Series. I'm the idiot, but you still ride the Shortbus.

This just shows how little you know about baseball. You conveniently skip past my Verlander mention. You have no comeback for that. The guy hasn't lost since he went to the Astros.
Ticket punched? Again just shows you lack of knowledge.
You started the year knocking the Yankees and were proven wrong every step of the way. Mets troll, a loser to the end.

Not exactly a loser to the end. Finally got it right when it mattered most. Plus having tickets to World Series game #5 if they made it, was the kiss of death.

As a fellow Met fan, I suggest that sometimes it is better to tip your hat to a job well done. The Yankees exceeded expectations this year, and their future looks bright. We can't say the same about the Mets right now. What can a Mets fan say right now--wait until that young pitching staff gets going next year? Where will the power and speed on offense come from? Duda? Grandy? Bruce? Oh, that's right. Got catcher? Got 3B? Will Cespedes play more baseball games than rounds of golf? Talking trash to Yankees fans is not something to be doing right now, IMO.

He can't help himself. Besides being a Mets fan his biggest problem is that he doesnt know baseball at all. Says baseball has the weakest home field advantage in sports. But in this years playoffs its obvious to anyone watching that home field is huge. But he isn't watching otherwise he wouldn't make such a stupid statement. Home teams are 24-8

I'd be willing to bet I played baseball at a higher level than you ever did, but that's for another thread I guess.I'm going to take Knight Shift's advice, since I agree with 95% of his posts. The study is 6 years old, but I think it makes a pretty good point. https://www.sbnation.com/2011/1/19/1940438/home-field-advantage-sports-stats-data

24-8 in the current playoffs is a better study. Too bad you don't pay attention. Even Shift, as a fellow Met fan, is embarrassed by your act. You're as bad Proud NJ not knowing the time. For a guy that posts so much about baseball it's shocking how little you know.

Funny your quoting Knight Shift, since you've called him an idiot in the past also, lol. Shall I did up the thread? In fact you've called so many people an idiot, I don't even feel I'm in an exclusive group, lmao. The extent of your baseball playing experience.

In a year most agree was to be a total rebuild...the Yankees almost went to the WORLD SERIES
while the Red Sux & the Mets got to watch us on TV!

A damn good year by any standard

True. I think, however, it is a handful of Yankee fans--Kbee in Florida, T2Kwhatever, and can't think of any others. I think WhiteBus stays out of the Mets threads. My point is that Mets fans have no business taunting Yankee fans after this year's debacle. Mets way underperformed (we can trot out the excuses--but I only do that for Rutgers), while the Yankees overperformed. I find it difficult mocking the Yankees' performance. I had some fun in the Aaron Judge thread, but that was because the premise of that thread was ridiculous and premature.
Anyways, hope that Mickey Mantle Callaway straightens out the Mets. He is focused on pitching, but they need some bats and speed too.

Well at least he has a great baseball/golf name,I'll start with that. Already hate the fact Sandy has stated he will have a lot of input to who the coaches are going to be. I wish he'd let Mickey pick his guys,as this has the feel of him being a "yes man". The anti-Wally Backman I guess. Speaking of Kbee, I haven't seen him post since Game #5, unless he put me on block, lol.

Saw on SNY blog a post questioning whether Sandy will remain GM or have some other role after the winter?

When the Atros score over 3 more runs per game at home only stupid people ignore current trends.
The "report" that rureadyforsomelowiq linked is totally irralevent. It includes all teams during the regular season. How does that correlate to the top teams in the playoffs? It doesnt. Just shows his complete lack of baseball knowledge. He's just a troll.
As for Yankee fans killing the Mets in the World Series go back and read all my posts in the Mets thread that season. I rooted for the Mets the whole way. Winning baseball teams in NYC is great for baseball. Another lie from Mets fan on here.

And there are many like me who don't bash the Mets. Dont lump us in with the very few.
The belief that all Yankee fans kill the Mets is the excuse that rureadyforsomelowiq and a few others come to a Yankee thread and overtake a good conversation. I agree with Kbee that if you are going to ban over the top Yankee fans on a Mets thread than trolls like rureadyforsomelowiq should be given the same treatment. Besides his lack of knowledge its the same crap over and over again.

First off,you calling for banning people is very funny. I don't repeat the same stuff, as I've criticized the Yankees on a multitude of topics, not like Yankee fans consistently saying the Mets win because of the NL East being weak. Divisions strength change over the years, and no doubt the NL East has been down for a couple. You call me a troll, yet I've been on this board for over 14 years, and NEVER been banned or given a "time out".Can you say the same? You don't have to answer that, I already know the answer. Keeping on the subject of repeating the same stuff over and over, that would be YOU. Whenever someone disagrees with you, they are called an idiot, or don't know anything about that given topic. I got a feeling you were that kid we all grew up with, that was a stat guy, loved the game but couldn't play it. You know, the one you always put in right field, and still say "no hitting to right". PS. The Yankees made a major mistake, and will live to regret it. I feel Sanchez went crying to management saying Joe was too hard on him, and your fan base, fickle as they are, sent a clear message to Cashman with their booing. If they could send such venomous message when Girardi had them playing WAY better than anyone thought, what would happen next season with a slow start. There, I think I talked about 5 topics I've never brought up before. Have a nice day.

Again your clueless. The only thing that would have saved Giradi job was s World Series victory. He was gone before the season started. Obvious as he was a lame duck this year.
We agree on one thing. The Yankees will regret this. Like the Mets the manager will not set lineups, will not set pitching matchups. Game is changing.
As for you not repeating things please. You forget that they don't delete threads anymore. Plenty of examples of you being a skipping record and an obvious troll.

I was banned for calling out DJ, John O for protecting Knight Shift. Was banned from a weather thread before I even posted in it. Still haven't a clue on that one.
It's not Monday morning QB. Same thing happened to Torre. Do you even watch baseball or just troll Yankee threads??

Right or wrong, I listen to Wfan a good part of the day, and I have to tell you, most people didn't see it coming,so I guess you'll just have to go by the name Carnac The Magnificent".Still don't remember anyone stating Girardi was a lame duck back in spring training, unless you were talking in Wind Talker language, lol.

Oh god. You are using the Fan as your example. God help you. Read the beat writers for a change.
Giradi's lack of a contract was a topic of conversation when the spring started. The FAN and YES would not give you any info as they are Yankees partners. Fatso got tossed from YES because he wasn't a yes man and brought in ARod.

In recent years, the Yankees have not given out contract extensions midseason to any of their talent or management. They let them play out their final years, then negotiate. It's unknown whether or not Girardi is out because of the playoffs but I'm not sure if the term lame duck is accurate in this situation.

Isn't that a contradiction? If he got tossed from YES for not being a yes man, and went to WFAN,it would stand to reason he gave you info the Yankees didn't like,no?
