YANKEES.....CHOKE!,

Disappointed but there is no embarrassment in this team losing. I'm normally not a moral victories type..but no one saw them going this far/even making the playoffs. It'd be one thing if it was a veteran team that had high expectations, but it was a team led by young guys with some vets sprinkled in.

-Bring up Torres, Andujar, sign otahi and go from there. I think a lot of yankee haters will be coming out now-whether just for the dislike of the organization/jealous mets or red sox fans, most are sick of the Judge attention-he does need to cut down the strike outs....they're not going away. Dodgers will smoke the Astros.

Yeah...outperforming all fans' expectations and making it to game 7 of the ALCS as a wild card team. Real choke.

Future definitely looks bright. Can you say the same about your team, OP? Methinks if you could you wouldn't be making a salty post like this a day late. Go choke on that.

THUUHHHHH YANKEES... CHOKE!!!

Uhm, no, they didn’t “choke.” The older, more experienced team. with HFA, bested them in a fantastic 7-game series. That’s all.

Amazing season 2 years early of all expectations. It’s gonna be a GREAT 10-year ride With a few more series against the Astros I’m sure!

But...hey...nice try! :chairshot:

Seems like the OP is a Mets fan with a “small penis complex” when it comes to the Yankees

Seriously, Yankee fans have reason for CAUTIOUS optimism. Just remember...2-3 years ago everyone was making the same glowing predictions about the Mets...great young talent, the pitching rotation the future, etc, etc
You never know who will have sophomore jinx, who will not repeat a phenomenal season and when injuries will devastate a lineup that looked so promising. Just ask the boys at Citi Field.

Typical Yankee Fan... can dish it out plenty but can't take it without resorting to personal insults. Willing to compare size any time loser.
Did I dish it out piss boy?

I rest my case
Eloquent retort
You seem to be fixated on penis and it's functions.
And Of course you have to go right for the wife approach.
My post was supposed to be a light hearted reference to Yanks wacky radio announcer, some good natured ribbing directed to fellow RU fans but small minds can't grasp subtlety or critique and go right fo personal insult.

My thought too. Although any fan could have small penis complex when looking at all that Yankees championship jewelry

For the record, you actually offered to literally measure penises. How's that for grasping subtlety? And being a skin-crawling weirdo.

My man csphi just s23t on your face and you opened wide, chewed it up and asked for seconds. (Since it's probably unclear to you, that is no more literal than the penis measuring - so don't offer to host an actual s234-eating contest)

Like I said... subtlety taken literally.
Who began the size thing????
So Csphi needs a boy to back him up.
So classic!
Insult, gang up and claim total victory!
What a shame to have to share my beloved Scarlet Kights with such numbskulls.

I am not a Yankees fan by any stretch of the imagination, but to lose in 7 in the ALCS to the Astros while playing a ton of young players is not a choke no matter how you slice it. OP obviously has an inferiority complex that he compensates for by taunting those teams that do better than his chosen team.

The Yankees aren't the Mets though. They can sustain a run. They have good ownership.

They are a year ahead of schedule. Let's remember that. They weren't even supposed to be this deep in the postseason.

Home field crowds and dominating pitching were the main reasons the hitters had so low batting averages.

Choke is too strong a word, but you can't tell me that as Yankee fans, going into Game 6 and maybe a game 7, up 3 games to 2, did you ever think the Yankees would get outscored 12-1? I'd consider it an epic fail, and a extremely sour way to end the season. As Kbee would say, I'm only speaking the truth.
Houston is a 100-win team. They won the 4 games in Houston and we won the 3 games at YS. It happens, nobody was able to break the home field advantage. Overall, a remarkable year for the Yank, as a big fan, I am excited and looking forward to the next decade!

Comparing the Yanks and Mets is like comparing the Patriots and Browns. You may want to rethink this post.

This would the super negative, absolute worst case scenario way to look at it. There's nothing wrong with losing to good pitching. If the young Yanks learn how to cut down on the strikeouts, watch out MLB.

He is just angry, dealing with Generation K 2.0 is hard on him.

Other than Conforto and I guess Rosario, every Met was a pitcher and they all got hurt. That "amazing" young depth seems like a long time ago now.

How did the Yankees choke. The went to game 7 of the ALCS and were underdogs in the last two rounds. The OP needs to go back on his meds!

I watched the entire series and I've come to the conclusion that an umpire can dictate the outcome of a game. What I noticed is how the strike zones change from umpire to umpire. In Houston the strike zones seemed just a little bit bigger than in New York. In New York umpires seemed to squeeze that zone just a little bit in games 4 and 5 which made the Yankee sluggers tee off on the Astro pitchers. In Houston the strike zone opened up just enough where the Yankee bats were slightly neutralized.

How do you choke when you weren't even favored to begin with? The Astros won over 100 games. If they had lost this series they would have been the ones who choked just like the Indians did.

If anyone choked it is the Mets. Their fans were claiming they were going to the World Series this season. The Yankees swept them 4-0 in games this season and their team was in the easiest division in baseball and were pathetic. No one expected the Yankees to make it this far this season. They have a bright future with all of their young kids.

Usually home-field advantage is not that big a deal in baseball; the home team wins 52% of the time, which is nothing compared to football or especially basketball. But the Yanks ran into a team that fed off a huge amount of fan support. The Yanks were able to defeat Cleveland on the road in the deciding game, but not Houston.

I agree that the Yankees went further than anyone expected, and have a lot to look forward to. The talk of a "choke" is ridiculous.

They preformed beautifully. They won just enough for us to get out of that Crappee stadium game. They're World Series Champs in my eyes.

THIS. Big, big, big difference in "gloating" about the future based on 3 young arms (as the Mets PR machine, and fan base, has done twice now) as opposed to an entire roster.
