I saw it during the spring game. Is this something that the NCAA is looking at actually making a new rule? I actually liked it.

Not a fan but I've rarely embraced change
In my opinion the NCAA has been trying to eliminate all kickoff returns. Fair catch rule and holding penalties have basically stopped kick returns. Maybe this would entice teams to return kicks.

Their making enough “WHY“ rules the way it is without thinking of another brain storm by doing what the freakin XFL does..😡

How do they handle an "onside kick"? Asking for a friend.
Get the ball on your 25 and it is considered 4th amd 15... you get a 1st down and you keep the ball, if you are stopped the defense gets the ball at the line of scrimmage you failed at.

I think it has great potential. No injuries and no high speed collisions. I have seen long returns and TDs in the XFL with this.
