More of a wildcat QB from what I’ve read. Was never going to play at Arkansas.
If he’s as athletic as it sounds and isn’t afraid to hit he could make A LOT of money playing CB.
Would just have to tailor your offense to what he does best. Michigans other backup QB just entered the portal too
Probably not a great passer by any stretch, but think Rhule could tailor his offense to match his strength with the RPO. He would be a nightmare for most plodding BIG defenses....

One other thing people are missing is I don't think Arkansas has done **** for helping develop their qb's. KJ Jefferson is talented, but one of the most undisciplined qb's I've ever seen. If we bring in a good qb coach that can develop, Hornsby might turn into a much better passing qb than we think, and with how dangerous he is with his feet, the sky is the limit for how good he can be. People are writing him off already as just another Smothers, and I don't see that at all honestly.
He has two years left. How fast do you think a coach “develop” him in to a good passer?

He's basically a high probability transfer in for Rhule. If things don't work out at QB, nothing risked because then he'll easily find another role on the team to utilize his speed. And I think there is a very good chance he commits to Nebraska on or shortly after the visit. Nebraska is his first and only scheduled visit and he already likes Rhule before visiting.
Watching the Niners tonight I can’t help but wonder what Luke could have done in an option based offense without Granpa Potter.

He doesn't have to be a great passer. Im starting to come around on this kid being the QB. He could actually be the best guy for the job right now to get us some wins. This kind of athletic freak could really help our line out. Remember the Auburn squad that almost won the title against FSU? The QB was not a good passer, but was dynamite with the RPO because he could fly.
I’ve said all year that a run threat by your QB is a huge help to your offense. CT could have helped his O line out this past year by scrambling more often. Using more RPO stuff with a very athletic QB puts tremendous pressure on a defense.
He seems to have the tools to run a lot of rpo (although I'm sure teams will load the box begging for him to pass). The key is does he have the football IQ to do it. Some guys seem to have it and other guys seem to always be unsure. (I loved TMart and think he could have been a Nebraska legend except he always seemed to make the wrong reads on the zone reads. I know the RPO is different than a zone read but still comes down to a qb making the right decision.)
If Hornsby can make the right decisions, he may have a chance to really help this team.
When you sit the bench it is hard to look like a diamond. Most QB's that sit need some time to acclimate to playing again. The starters get most of the reps. with the limited practice time. Let this play out and see what happens. Most B1G defenses struggle with mobile QB's...
