Guy has taken a beating by us fans a lot over the years so deserves his credit. He has been really solid the last several weeks. I didn’t get to see last weeks game but defensive player of the week followed up by his performance today. He was laying some wood. Even had a nice block on an offensive lineman on that pick 6. Happy for him. Maybe if he keeps playing like this he will get a shot at the next level?

He has really taken a huge step forward this year. Glad to see him having this success. Sometimes it takes someone who is just physically better at the high school level awhile to get the details and small stuff down when the physical abilities are equal.
Our 5 star guys reach their potential after 3 or 4 years like anyone else. I guess that's the "system" huh? Like AJ last time.
He is definitely bringing the Wood of late…seems to be having fun too!
Actually, this might be the biggest difference. He totally looks like he is having fun out there. The last couple years… not so much.
I'm happy for him. To see his hard work pay off in his senior year. It hasn't been pretty, and he would probably be the first to admit it's been a bumpy ride with mixed results.
But the game is slowing down for him and he is finally having a campaign that showcases what he is capable of at the position.
Hopefully he can continue to be an impact player in these final 4+ games and help lead us to bigger and better things come postseason.

I'd imagine that he's "got it figured out" now where he's reading and processing plays very quickly. Giving him the confidence to go full tilt and have fun.
Absolutely LOVE how he brings the damn lumber on his tackles. Ball carries gotta be aware of him coming to ring their bell.

AJ spent 3 total years on campus and was All-Big 10 his second season and All-American his 3rd.

All I know is that this is the most athletic and hard hitting backfield that I have seen at Iowa in a long time. Cooper was awesome, but he didn't have this group around him. X, Lutmer and Entringer can all run and lay the wood. Hall and Lee have been great in coverage as well.
