UK has definitely reached out and it may not be a bad pickup. Would be major upgrade defensively from Grady and Mintz. Frederick and Wallace are both great shooters, so the cupboard wouldn’t be bare in that regard.

Worse option than pippen people complained about wheelers shooting pinson makes wheeler look like he plays for the warriors
From Jan. 15 on, Wheeler shot a respectable 43% from 3 point range. Up to that point he was shooting 17% from three. I think Wheeler is a better shooter than you all make him out to be.

Small sample size, wheeler is great for a backup change of pace guard he panicked during crunch time in some games and makes terrible decisions, Kentucky need a good PG, dillingham will be my choice until I hear something else, he will make freshman mistake but he is the most talented and can score from all 3 levels and set others up

Pinson is a good defender. Maybe distributor too. But is a bad shooter!
This year 36% FG, 24% from 3. Hell no!!!
Maybe it was just a bad year? Nope. Each year his FG% has dropped 41%, 39%, 38%, 36%. And after a good FR year from 3, 40%, it has been 3 bad years since 27%, 33%, 24%.

I mean if he wants to some and be our 11-13th man, and only play in an emergency, sure. But otherwise, NO.

And people bring up that Wheeler shot well from Jan15 on (41%). Yes he did, when those were completely uncontested shots, defenses were literally saying shoot it we won't try to block it. But it was a very small sample size 29 attempts. With such a small number of attempts, when he is left WIDE OPEN, we are only 80% confident that his true 3pt % is somewhere between 28.8% and 55%. But again I think the key is WIDE OPEN. If he just missed 4 more of those 29 attempts because he was guarded, his % drops below 30%.

He’s skilled for sure. Crafty and gets to the rim. Y’all need to stop with the Kentucky kid stuff. I think it’s fans who mostly still live in the state who pine for them. Get the best we can get. I don’t care if they are from The Congo….matter of fact, give me a team full of players from the Congo.

Look at the schools listed along with us. Mich St is the biggest name besides KY.
Wonder why Duke, Kansas, etc aren’t reaching out?

I don't know about you, but if Chin Coleman is going to Missouri as reported, then him reaching out to a Missouri player--the forward and a former Missouri player makes sense. Xavier Pinson makes 0 sense for Kentucky-he's tied to an AAU program that hates Kentucky--but has ties to Chin Coleman (Mac Irvin Fire). Wonder if Coleman is just doing his work for his next job here?

I guess we’re gonna be linked to every player who enters the transfer portal? Every day it’s somebody new. And my thought is the same for every one; it’s not gonna matter.

I don't disagree on players from KY but if Pinson is the best we can get next season will be rough.

Don't like this guys game at all, nor the Forward from Mizzou. What the hell is going on? These dudes weren't even the best players on their mediocre teams. If this is what Cal is looking for then we are in for another dud year. Please god let TyTy come back.

Do you mind if we still discuss UK basketball? It still matters to some of us. I bet you would be a blast to hang out with. Maybe I will buy you a beer one day

IF Chin is going to Missouri, who will ccc bring in this time?
who can put up with his arrogance?

No reason not to reach out. "Reaching out" doesn't mean he's high on our list of targets. I'm sure there will be 15-20 transfers we "reach out" to (can already think of 4-5 and it's still early) and then take the best 2-3 players who are interested

Seemed like a good year up until the last game l, so it won’t be another long year.
Guess I should’ve said another short season.
This team rode Oscar as far as he could take them, if he’s gone so is next season.
I wasn’t expecting to lose to St Peters but thought the second round game could be the limit for this team. I just didn’t see this team putting several good games together.

Yeah to be the third sec school for this guy who honed his game under cuonzo. That’s a real homer run. 🙄

also we need to see Wallace in rupp before declaring him a great shooter. And we need more than two guys who can shoot the ball. Didn’t this season teach you guys anything? Can’t have 3 guys who aren’t quality shooters out there. Only way to space and spread that folks want is to have ATLEAST 3 deep threats out there

Have I been under a rock? This is the first I'm hearing of Chin to Missouri
