It's a needless "in your face" to the largely Canadian crowd at the Canadian Open. Had he worn it on the First Tee and then removed it, that would have been sufficient.

I tend to agree with lb that it is a needless in your face act. on the other hand, I greatly respect his golf skills and guts. I am glad the Canadians have the class not to yell or scream at him when he is hitting the ball.
