By the way that sorry team you are beating right now. Yeah the one that is the 2 seed in your almighty conference, got throttled by one of our average teams.

You got beat by LSU, who just lost to aTm 71-38. Does this mean your team is bad? Nope. Moral of the post: teams change over the course of the season. It is amazing how much Texas A&M improved from being a lowly fake-good Big 12 team to win the SEC.

How is it every most every year the Big Twelve tournament is played in Kansas City, I'm sure the SEC schools wouldn't settle for Louisville hosting the SEC tournament every year. It might be different if Kansas were not the favorite most years, Isn't that like Kentucky playing in Louisville, doesn't look like it is very far from Lawrence, talk about an advantage.

Gee Kansas is heading into the tourney on a long win streak and favorites to win the title, feels like I've seen this scenario before. Can anybody tell me what happens next? :joy:

The NCAA used to be in Kansas City. They played there for years. When MU was in the Big 12 you had three local Big 12 schools. They also have a NBA arena there. It is an advantage though, even though KU rarely does well there. Now that MU is gone I feel like it should be in Oklahoma City more or Dallas.

First off The Big 12 Tournament is played in Kansas City, MISSOURI - SEC Country. It is a place where no Big 12 team is located so it can pass as a neutral site. It isn't like Kentucky playing in Louisville as Louisville is in the same state as Kentucky.

The only other places in Big 12 Country that could realistically host the Big 12 Tourney is Oklahoma City, Dallas and San Antonio as they have NBA arenas. But those cities won't support the first two days of the tourney and KC always sells out every session. Also, KC has a great entertainment area adjacent to the Sprint Center in addition to the neighboring College Basketball Hall of Fame. There is not a better place to host the Big 12 Tournament than KC. It has nothing to do with the proximity of Lawrence, Kansas.

The KU Big 12 streak is a mirage. Every time it's mentioned on TV saying how unbelievable it is, I want to punch someone. The officiating has turned this borderline top 25 team into a top 5 team ever year. Watching their annual face plant in the tournament & squirrelhead's excuses will be fun.

You are trying to rewrite history. You can google it. Kansas has won 12 straight titles. They are real. No mirage. If you keep posting it, it doesn't make it true. It just makes you look foolish.

Kansas basketball is for real. Anyone with the least bit of intelligence knows that. Self has them there most every year.
It is what it is. Hate them all you want, but they should be respected for their success.

Kansas City isn't SEC Country. MethZoo is not the dominate team in Kansas City; Kansas is. When the Tigers play in Sprint, they can't even sell 50% of the available tickets. The Jayhawks play in front of sell-out crowds at Sprint. Not even close.

To be fair if MU was actually good and a SEC tournament game happened there against a Kentucky for example Missouri fans and UK fans would pack that place to the gills.

It's not that there's no Mizzou alum or fans in KC- there's tons. But, who wants to go and suffer through tiger "athletics", especially jv basketball.

We will see. Maybe MSU has moved ahead of Nova. And that will be impossible.

I think MSU should/will move into a #1. I don't think that UNC has the resume to be a #1. When you compare them to Oregon, Oregon looks better. I think the committee will reward UK with #3 and games in Louisville. That will make the South a tough bracket with MSU, UK and maybe...UNC as the #2. Your post may be correct.

I really hope you're joking but just in case you're not:

Lawrence KS to Kansas City is 40.4 miles

Lexington to Louisville is 78.2 miles.

They literally may as well host it at AFH.

To be fair, is there a more pro UK town than Nashville not in the state? Maybe Evansville.[banana]

You are saying Louisville is a Neutral Site for Kentucky? You are crazy. Neither sites are 'neutral'.

Not at all. Both locations are basically home games. I was more commenting on the "KC isn't even in the same state" garbage.

The three best travelling fan bases for Basketball in the Big12 are Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State. These fan bases come in and buys tickets. The Big12 have tried Dallas and OKC. The League makes more money in KC. Money rules.

Kansas is no better than Louisville or Uconn as a program in college basketball history. Their fictitious mascot goes hand in hand with their make believe streak.

Kiimo,
I usually agree with you here. But MethZoo Basketball is at a such a low point, I don't think they could fill a Middle School gym in Independence MO. But I would agree that 'MethZoo fans and UK fans would pack the that place to the gills' as much as I would agree that Danny Manning and Evan Manning are the top Father-Son scoring duo in Kansas history. BBN would buy 99% of the tickets and the die-hard Tigger fans would buy the remaining 1%.

I will give you that you are using the word 'fictitious' correctly when speaking about the mascot. I see your effort. But the streak isn't 'make believe'; it's real.

They tried to have it in OKC and Dallas in the 2000s. Have a 3 year rotation of KC-Dallas-OKC. Attendance was terrible and OKC and Dallas made terrible effort to accommodate the Big 12 and the schools. So after the 6 year test they went back to every year being in KC.
