WVU Ranking Devastating

Fine! But don't be pissed at ACC or Big Ten for completely disqualifying WVU during expansion.
Really none of my business but being a Hokie we get the UVA and UNC "turned up noses" and "holier than thou" attitudes all the time. Our response is just to kick their *** in football (and now occasionally in basketball). Here's my take on the rankings (we're 74 ... 50 points below UVA):
1. A degree from UVA doesn't change the fact that you're still a Zima drinking bow tie wearing Henry Milktoast
2. UNC was ranked 24th and is trying to defend the fact that they had a fictitious class for athletes for 18 years. That's the sign of a real quality institution.

You are correct. It's anyone's guess how we all manage to start careers after such lackluster educations. Devasting to have a UNC, NC State, Maryland, BC, Kansas, Pepperdine, etc grads working for me. Imagine what could of been had I went to Pitt.
There's something wrong with some of you guys. You took a point and blindly personalized it. Anyone can get a great education at WVU. Anyone can be very successful after getting educated at WVU. What my point was, generally, is it's not good to be ranked dead last as an institution if the Big12 implodes. If Big12 gets their GOR done then none of that matters to WVU athletics. Good for you and I believe you if you're successful but of course my post wasn't directed toward WVU sucks. There's like 5 homers that can't get past their own insecurities and immaturity and take us all there.

If I had it to do all over again................I would not attend college unless I wanted to be a lawyer, doctor or the like. I am a self educated rocket scientist and doing well for myself. Forget the bias BS in USNWR. WVU has 40 Goldwater Scholars, 26 Rhodes Scholars, and 15 of the current/past fortune 500 CEO's Oracle, Owens Corning, Fidelity Investments just to name a few. A university should be fairly judged by the success of its graduates. USNWR rates the raw material over the finished product.

Here's who WVU has to impress. No one if the Big12 doesn't implode. However if the Big12 implodes these types of academic rankings are devastating. Now why would anyone go to Asheville? Could it be the 26 breweries, 3% unemployment, the great restaurants, the unbelievable climate, the great trout fishing or just because nearly every travel magazine touts it as one of the best place to visit, live or retire to in the country.
