Kyzir White was the only Mountaineer drafted.

Mountaineers signed as free agents were receiver Ka’Raun White, the brother of Kyzir, by the Seahawks; linebacker Al-Rasheed Benton, by the Lions; fullback Elijah Wellman, by the Redkins; offensive lineman Kyle Bosch, by the Cowboys; and cornerback Elijah Battle, by the Cardinals.

Running back Justin Crawford, in particular, and cornerback Mike Daniels and long snapper Nick Meadows probably will sign, too.

The entire Big 12 had 20, or 2 more than the American Athletic Conference, remnants of Big East football, which isn’t even a Power Five conference.

The Big 12 was at the bottom of the Power Five conferences since SEC had the most, 53, with a big chunk from Alabama, which had 12; ACC, a “basketball conference,” had 46; the Big Ten, 32; and the “woeful” Pac-12, 30.
The Big 12’s draftees, including WVU’s 1, came from Oklahoma 4, Texas 4, Oklahoma State 4, TCU 3, Texas Tech 2, Kansas 1 and Kansas State 1.

WVU had more draft picks than Baylor and Iowa State combined, to struggle hard to put a silver lining on it.

It may speak to the number of returning NFL potential players rather than the quality of the conference. The 2019 draft should be big for the B12 and WVU.

Please remember we only have a 10 team conference, so numbers are skewed
somewhat. Most others are 40% larger than BXII

More rugby players that have never played a down of football got drafted yesterday than Iowa St has had drafted in 4 years.

He is one big sob. I traveled in Europe and never saw a rugby player anywhere close to
the size of a normal lineman. What a freak. He will kill people on goal line situations.

SEC had 3.7 players drafted per team.

ACC had 3.3 players drafted per team.

PAC had 2.5 players drafted per team.

BIG had 2.3 players drafted per team.

B12 had 2.0 players drafted per team.

AAC had 1.5 players drafted per team.
Of all people I should have compared by players drafted per team since I used percentages all season when comparing the Big 12 to conferences with more team. I stand clarified. Big 12 is still last in Power 5 but it looks much better and more accurate this way. Thanks. Mea culpa.

Good find!!! Looks a little better. Deep drill and see if you can get Big12 up to #4. Thanks in advance.

Or it may speak to all those years of not getting Top 100 recruits means the best players aren’t going to Big12. I think I remember the Big12 had great draft classes the past two years so this was a bleep on the radar. Can’t wait for 2019.

Cuyahoga...I actually agreed (somewhat) with your first post, but then you had to add one which started with "Of all people I should have...". Your ego is so inflated that you must have to walk around with a cement block tied to your ankle. Oh, now I remember, you are a paid professional, top level, award winning, best selling, experienced, well connected, all seeing, world class sports writer. Sorry, I couldn't add "tool" to the list due to space considerations.

This is probably due to the fact we don't have enough Fairmont players on any team. Might even be the fact nobody in the Big 12 was recruiting Mookie Collier. If they only had more West Virginia kids it would have been a 4 team Big 12 final 4 and 4 team college national college playoff. Shocking.

Thank You - these are the numbers that should be used for talk about college football and the draft. Big 12 is closer to the B10 than the AAC
