WVU making some shots early on. Press is stifling, but not sure they can keep that up for 40 mins. Especially against a team with quality depth like UK.

I am having a hard time deciding who I would rather play. On the one hand we could out talent Maryland in a softer finesse game. With WVU, you have to go against Huggy Bear in a brawl, but can WVU really score enough to beat us when we will score a lot against their press? Makes me wonder if Huggy, knowing he has a very small chance of winning with all else being equal, tries something crazy like going zone and not pressing against us, which would surprise our players and make them hit outside shots like in 2010.

True, but Huggie is so hard headed / macho he would keep the press even when he's getting "it" handed to him!

One thing is for sure, WCS, KAT, Lee or whoever better be ready to catch some lobs if we play WVU. Once you crack the press, it's there for the taking.

Another thing ... they lead the nation in fouls. Better be precise at the charity stripe. That means KAT needs to stay out of foul trouble. Lee probably shouldn't see much time unless we're cruising.

Half their team will be in foul trouble by the 10:00 minute mark in the second half and we will win by double digits.

If we get WVU, we will to maintain our composure against the press and then it will be easy pickings. Willie will have to be fully engaged from the opening tip. Tyler will get plenty of PT due to the press. We can dunk all night against their press if we play smart. We cant let that Miles kid become a thorn in our side like the Elis kid was on Saturday. Our defense will be able to contain their offense. This will be Cincinnati part II as Huggins played this same style when he was their coach.

If we get Maryland, we will have contain Trimble and Wells and we should be fine. They do not have an answer for Towns and Willie inside. Trey will be the X factor with whomever we play.

I'll take the finesse game. I don't want to see another wrestling match, I want to see a basketball game. I have little trust that's what Huggins and WVU would bring.

There is no "payback" from 2010. We already beat them in 2011 and none of the players are still on either of those teams anyhow.

WVU is a lot more like the Razorbacks than they are the Bearcats, they can be good when they are shooting good, but they don't do that in many games.

Maryland shooting 55% and 6-9 from 3 but losing by 1. WVU with 11 more shot attempts.

Give me West Virginia. I want revenge for 2010. We were really in posistion to win it all. Team was young but OMG what talent. After the BCG disaster and losing in the NIT in 2009. Think what a comeback that would have been for the program in one year if we had won it all.

this. uk is the most physical team left in the tournament. msu is getting kudos for effort. but no one has our size and strength to boot.

Goodness, Trimble is getting beat up this game. Just got nailed by a moving screen (not called). Took a hard fall after getting fouled in the first half.

if you can't get protected from the refs on a moving screen body check, there's nothing anyone can do for you. it's pathetic. there was an elbow to the chest too.

Andrew would have fifteen assists in lobs to Willie and Marcus against this west Virginia defense.

west virginia can't score. they have to pick it up at some point. eventually maryland is going to get out of their own way with the turnovers. they are much better looking offensively.
