One recent year (2018?) early in the season they predicted us to finish 0-30 in the SEC, and we went to the CWS.

It takes 15ish games minimum for RPI to go valid in baseball, which is all that's doing. They would be better off just to hide the tabs until conference play actually begins.

Looks like they're down on our offense. They have us projected to score 4 runs or fewer in 75%+ of our Q1 games right now.

That said, give it a couple more weeks. The numbers can be all over the place this early.

Well, then I guess we should be glad these geniuses are picking us to go 9-21 in the SEC this year. Btw, what is up with the 1-0 Auburn and 0-1 Texas A&M. Have they played a conference game this early?

One year in my office NCAA basketball pool, I had made all my picks. Then decided to change them to the Warren Nolan picks. I finished dead last. Made the mistake of pulling out my original bracket and scoring it. I would have won the pool. Garbage in, garbage out.

They played in a tournament. Probably not counted as a conference game, like our Governor's Cup games vs OM.

I just searched the Intrawebs for "Warren Nolan" because I'd never heard of him.

Clicked on 3 different links . . . and I still have no idea who Warren Nolan is.

Yea this is obviously some dumb **** like predicting a pitcher's season era after 1 batter. No human picks a team to go 0-30 in baseball. Sometimes looking at stats for reason before they've even had enough time to become stats is just dumb.

He is probably the best in the business at college basketball RPI-type statistical analysis. His model doesnt work well for baseball, especially early in the season. However, its a good source late in the season when you are looking at bubble teams and such.
