I'm OK with charges being filed here. The punch was thrown outside the parameters of the game. If a group of people were leaving the Student Rec Center after a basketball game and one of them punched another in the face, they could expect to be subject to charges. I see no difference here. At a minimum, she should be dismissed from the team. It gave the whole university a black eye, no pun intended.
