We just added an NAIA National Champ. Both these transfers are top 20 or better in the nation. Plus, we have some solid frosh who redshirted competing and Frankie Tal Shir is a top ten guy. We also added a heavyweight transfer who is top 30. Entire team is solid, so we can finish top 25 this year. Next two recruiting cycles are very good too.
Northwestern does it right. Just like it's swimming and tennis teams. I used to marvel the discipline of the swimmers doing double sessions. I met some of the tennisplayers this summer at a local charity event with USTA. Just great character guys. Nowadays, unless you make top 175 in world rankings, you are losing money. A good 5 to 10% of these top guys are often seriously hurt. Often requiring surgery. No shame in getting a solid northwestern degree which will open up many doors for former student athletes who love to compete.
