Fatu is being booked essentially how Cornette suggested he be booked before he signed. Not that every idea he has is great but he said they should lean into his criminal past and him being this danger to society type; someone the rest of the family had rejected because of his past and because he was so unpredictable and dangerous. He should've been in Solo's spot during the Bloodline but they missed that opportunity. He's gotten over on his own though and it looks like that report from around last fall was correct that they would push guys like Oba, Fatu, and Bron this year.

I think a lot of it has to do with the growing specialization and the earlier specialization. Different sports work different muscles and joints that can't be replicated just by going to the gym and doing general workouts and workouts specific to the person's chosen sport.

A lot of kids these days commit to one sport before the even get to high school, sometimes even before middle school, so they don't get that experience of playing multiple sports as much as they used to. Plus the growing influence of the racket of summer travel teams further decreases the opportunities one can commit to multiple sports.
Yup my brother went from football to wrestling and it was completely different muscles and still required an acclimation period despite being “in shape”

Same with me when I went from cross country to swimming.

I'll also miss Asuka if she's done and that seems likely. Her character had a ton of personality and I always got a kick out of her dancing and singing to everyone's theme as she waited in the ring. Makes sense to go out now. In her 40's, done everything, Kairi is gone, and they wrapped up the feud with IYO. I have a feeling she and IYO was left off Mania so Brock could get his moment, then a few weeks later Asuka could get hers. WWE isn't doing two retirement goodbyes during one weekend.

What's the point for WWE in holding it off if they aren't going to announce it in advance to make money off of it?

Does my heart good to see Rollins trying to pull off two Ospreay spots, and whiffing on both.
He’s always wanted to be Ospreay but never could, never can, and never will be him.

One of the few men to lose a feud to someone he never wrestled.

John Cena invented the John Cena Classic just so he can get Will Kroos over lol.

Also, those matches should just be booked as indieriffic spot fests with typical WWE aura farming mixed in because what’s the point of winning if it literally does not matter? Just let people get in their stuff in the most impressive fashion.

I always enjoyed her and feel like she was underrated - she was good on the main roster but was a monster in nxt.

I didn’t see the match so I can’t say if I liked it or not, but, with rare exception, I do not like comedy matches. I don’t dislike some comedy being integrated into a match, but a comedy centric match (which is what I saw from the 2-3 clips I saw) is just not what I like. Plus I’ve never found Danhausen funny.

He’s selling merch so he’s gonna be on the PLE’s.

Darby is producing quite possibly my favorite title reign in AEW history. This is going to go down as a generational run if they nail the ending.

Ya the Costco guy is for adults?
Costco’s target market primarily consists of affluent, suburban, college-educated households and small-to-midsize business owners seeking high-quality goods at bulk prices. Typical customers are 30–64 years old, financially stable, and willing to pay for membership to access premium brands and savings.

Since Darby's been champion, the Dynamite ratings have decreased each week (617K, 596K, 590K). I'm glad you're enjoying it and it's cool he's gotten this opportunity but "generational run"? How? It's only been a few weeks and hardly anyone is talking about Darby unless you're on the AEW subreddits.

Because AEW is for adults.

He also got in the doghouse for selling bootleg merch.

His matches were also almost always the worst on the show.
We can all name several examples of silliness in AEW. It's not "for adults." Adam Cole came out dressed as a Ghostbuster and he and MJF hit kids with dodgeballs ala Billy Madison and in that segment black X's were drawn on the eyes of children with their tongues out. Jericho had 'The Learning Tree'. Is a child rubbing his chin for adults? I don't know why you talk up this different version of AEW when the real version is in front of us. You're like Hulk Dragon when it comes to AEW lol. Even in their more 'mature' moments it's silly, like a wrestler running around with his legs on fire, someone filling his mouth with his opponent's blood, and a busty woman's gimmick essentially being "look here viewer, I have large breasts."

It's fine to admit as bad as you believe WWE is, they are a marketing machine and are able to take full advantage of every situation. Fans were wrong about Danhausen and AEW has always been poor at mass marketing. We all know this.

Ya man some of this stuff is so weird to say. I barely pay attention and know ratings went up when MJF had the belt and went down when he lost it.

Same guy also said Adam page was great even tho he’s basically a forgettable midcarder other than he’s buddies with the Jacksons.

Think Jericho would have been better off in wwe than AEW dealing with richochet but hulk dragon insisted wwe would botch his retirement but Cena/aj/brock/asuka seem pleased and hopefully offer a backstage mentor. I think if KO was healthy they would have run that feud back.

Remember Adam page didn’t want cm punk’s advice but cm punk is a legend with a hot wife and page has some weird cowboy gimmick even Dustin Rhodes and Trevor Murdoch probably laughs at.

I’m thinking more like senile
I think he just wants engagement. Any PR is good PR to him.
But it is kinda sad to see. He wasn't always like that. He used to act semi-normal outside the ring. Now it's like he thinks he has to be "THE NATURE BOY, WOOOOO" all the time, must be exhausting.

Not to mention creepy. People don't wanna hear a 75yo man talk about "taking a long ride on Space Mountain"
