Anyways, Darby vs. Brody last night was fantastic.
Swerve vs. Bandido has Match of the Year Contender written all over it. Boy am I excited to see that when it happens.
Kevin Knight defeating MJF was 100% the right move. MJF god a bad rap for a while, and justifiably so to some degree, but he has been a complete team player for quite a while now. He has joined the list of made men in AEW who are using their position to help build up new stars instead of stroking their egos like some others that have left the promotion and people like the Kliq and Hogan. It's impressive how TK has managed to build a locker room with a bunch of guys who largely don't let their egos get in the way of what's best for the company long term.
Divine Dominion vs. Shidalander was solid. But TK has had all but one active established tag team already compete for the tag titles - and that is the Brawling Birds, which is likely coming at Double or Nothing. Anna Jay being back means TayJay could theoretically get a shot at the titles, but there's no way on earth you can convince me that they can or should beat Divine Dominion. TK will hotshot his way thru the entire women's tag division in well under a year at the rate he's going. If that was what was largely the plan (though I assume things changed a lot when Toni went on her leave of absence), then what was the point in introducing tag titles? All it's accomplished really is watering down all the women's belts because the women haven't seen the increased TV time to warrant having three titles. None of the titles or title holders have any clear direction or purpose at this point
