SAS is one of the most unlikeable people to ever exist in sports media. Him and the likes of Skip Bayless (and others, but they are the ring leaders) screaming and Twittering a bunch of incredibly asinine and nonsensical hot takes killed sports journalism. They should be publicly tarred and feathered for the damage they have wrought against society.

Anyways, Darby vs. Brody last night was fantastic.

Swerve vs. Bandido has Match of the Year Contender written all over it. Boy am I excited to see that when it happens.

Kevin Knight defeating MJF was 100% the right move. MJF god a bad rap for a while, and justifiably so to some degree, but he has been a complete team player for quite a while now. He has joined the list of made men in AEW who are using their position to help build up new stars instead of stroking their egos like some others that have left the promotion and people like the Kliq and Hogan. It's impressive how TK has managed to build a locker room with a bunch of guys who largely don't let their egos get in the way of what's best for the company long term.

Divine Dominion vs. Shidalander was solid. But TK has had all but one active established tag team already compete for the tag titles - and that is the Brawling Birds, which is likely coming at Double or Nothing. Anna Jay being back means TayJay could theoretically get a shot at the titles, but there's no way on earth you can convince me that they can or should beat Divine Dominion. TK will hotshot his way thru the entire women's tag division in well under a year at the rate he's going. If that was what was largely the plan (though I assume things changed a lot when Toni went on her leave of absence), then what was the point in introducing tag titles? All it's accomplished really is watering down all the women's belts because the women haven't seen the increased TV time to warrant having three titles. None of the titles or title holders have any clear direction or purpose at this point

Trying really hard to get me to never watch anything they do ever again.
"I certainly heard a lot about Zoe Hines I would say six months ago, and it was very much this is one that was politically forced on them. It’s not like when she had her tryout. She’s a real athlete, she’s a softball player.

When she had her tryout, it’s not like she knocked them dead or even knocked them even. It was very much said it was a forced hiring because of who she was and because of Robert F. Kennedy and Linda McMahon both being in the cabinet. And you know, she wanted to try. It’s like Simone Johnson, the same thing. She was not a good wrestler, they eventually used her as Ava and everything like that and used her in a different role.

I had heard people very much dreading knowing this. As far as like the hiring of her, I would say it was probably known easily a year ago that it was inevitable that this would happen. And 6 months ago, it was already known from the tryout that it was one of those where the people who knew and seen had told me it was a hire they were dreading because it was a forced one.”

Also I wonder how that Kevin Knight vs. Darby match will play out next week. Kevin Knight is not the type of wrestler that is going to just beat the *hit out of someone like Ciampa and Brody. It's going to be such a drastically different style of match.

Very intrigued to see how this Ospreay story with the Death Riders plays out. I like the idea of Moxley molding him into the Ultimate Weapon. Mentally, Moxley is just a completely different type of wrestler and unleashing the psychological side of Ospreay with a final boss killer instinct to go with his otherworldly talent is going to be really interesting to watch how it develops.

The selective outrage lol.

AEW wasted TV and PPV time on a chunky kid who does nothing but stares and rubs his chin and very few batted an eye. I think we'd survive Smith showing up a few times in some sort of heel manager role, esp. if it brought massive heat, which it would, because being obnoxious and the loudest person in the room works in pro wrestling. Are some just afraid he'd get more of a reaction than Don Callis or something? I'd rather it not happen but Smith was shown at Mania and got massive heat which he appeared to love. ESPN is partnered with WWE and saw this. So could it happen? Sure. Would it be the worst thing ever? Likely not.

The McAfee thing was awful and he knew it was awful but sometimes loudmouths fit this goofy thing we love like a glove. Logan Paul sure fits, even if we dislike the man.
