Are you saying Bluesky people hate the WWE? And Reddit too? Sorry, but you’ve lost me on this comparison. Maybe it’s just me not following.

From what I gather from IWC musings, bluesky is the lefty Twitter, and therefore WWE is viewed as the MAGA company (not really wrong) and is seen as evil, and AEW is viewed as the progressive company and therefore is good.

I could be way off base here because I quit all social media but this board in 2025, and it’s been much better for my mental health.

Yup it’s no coincidence that some people with mental health issues can be directly related to them being chronically online.

I found myself snapping at people in my real offline life because I’d just been in an argument online with a total stranger over sports, movies, music, wrestling, politics, etc.

It’s not healthy, and the chronically online tend to lose all grip on reality, which means reality becomes whatever their echo chamber says. This goes for political spectrums and various online fandoms.

Bluesky is definitely more AEW leaning.

Speaking of AEW, here's what's been announced so far for tonight.

AEW Champion Darby Allin vs. Tommaso Ciampa.
Mina Shirakawa vs. Hikaru Shida.
Will Ospreay vs. Mark Davis.

Def glad you fought through it and got better! It’s not as easy as some people think it is.

Mark Davis is going to be a big strong trampoline for Osprey to bounce around on tonight. I bet Osprey has an amazing match.

Is this girl that keeps beating Blake what’s her name anything special? I have read she’s been in NXT forever but she ends up winning every time. Do they have big plans for her on the main roster or something?

I think her name is Tatum paxley?

Seems like the ones that lose the feuds go to main roster so maybe they do that to keep her happy?

I’m guessing Blake and that Jacy Jayne get called up to SD.

Hulk Hogan loved, I say loved, to tell lies.

Darby and Ciampa had a great one tonight. Didn’t expect Davis to kill Osprey but wondering where things will go from here.

I’ve never liked that characterization personally. I am far more into AEW and it isn’t close. Far better in-ring value, realistic storytelling with a no nonsense, grounded approach. I usually know the kind of person I’m dealing with when they tell me they only watch WWE if I’m being real.

Thought Dynamite was a pretty good show last night. I'm intrigued with where the Ospreay thing might be going.

Darby and Ciampa was good as well.

Fun with numbers.

Collision did 475,000 viewers and a .08 on Thursday while TNA did 212,000 and a .04

Wrestlemania night 1 did 1,616,000 viewers and a 0.62 in the 18-49 demo airing on ESPN2.

Wrestlemania night 2 did 1,822,000 viewers and a 0.65 in the 18-49 demo airing on ESPN.

I have been a watcher of both since AEW’s inception. I tend to migrate back and forth. Right now AEW is a more interesting product with superior bell to bell wrestling.

I thought 2024 and the latter half of 2023 was bad for AEW, and 2025 and 2026 have been bad for WWE. (I knew WWE would nosedive as soon as they merged with TKO. TKO only cares about the bottom line - ads, high ticket and merch prices, ads, more ads and did I mention ads? They could GAF less about creative and giving the fans something to enjoy.)

It was a nasty fall. I was watching and said to myself that the tables were too far away. Ended up being a good discussion on Busted Open about whether or not to do something like that when you've just been brought up to the main roster and likely to be a big star as opposed to it being this big moment in NXT and blow-off to their shortened feud.

I heard that too. Bubba was wishy washy about it, but most of the others were adamant she shouldn't have taken that bump.

Yeah, in theory it makes Zaria look like a ruthless badass. She saves Sol from falling, they hug, then Zaria pushes her through the tables. CINEMA! On the other hand, it's NXT in this tiny space and it's not like the spot will live in infamy if done correctly. Breakker tagged with Corbin in NXT and people barely remember that. I'm just a dumb fan but it's a bad feeling when you're watching and you're like, "oh no, those tables need to be moved like two feet towards the platform. Please recognize that and move them..." and it doesn't happen.

This is what everyone should have assumed instead of believing TKO higher ups were Zooming into meetings and pitching angles for LA Knight or IYO Sky. They have final say like Vince did, so they'd probably shut down a wrestler bashing Netflix in storyline or something extremely controversial but they don't care who Rusev or Drew is feuding with. If ticket sales take a dive, that's when we get random involvement, unfortunately always involving Cody lol. I don't love it but that's how it is.

I guess the positive is Logan Paul has been solid as has Yachty and Speed. Apparently I don't mind when YouTubers get involved.

Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, Bo Dallas, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Zoey Stark, Alba Fyre, Andre Chase so far.

I say this every year but most of these releases I never have an issue with. No one really wants a roster that's like 350 deep. That's ridiculous. The IWC will do it's yearly thing where they believe everyone should be hired and keep their jobs no matter what but that's not reality. The Wyatt Sicks was terrible and we know it was terrible. Spooky doesn't work anymore. SD HAS to improve and that group was one thing that was bringing it down. Fyre was Chelsea's sidekick, Stark was decent but never had a connection with an audience, and Chase was okay in the ring but the NXT Chase U gimmick was awful.

I don't like these releases hours before a show because it's gotta suck for everyone involved but would you rather watch Hayes, Trick, Oba, Ruca, and Breakker or the Sicks, Stark, Fyre, and Chase?

Santos Escobar, Apollo Crews, Motor City Machine Guns, Black & Zelina, Kairi Sane, Dante Chen

So they re-signed Santos a while back because they didn't want him in AEW and I don't think they ever used him. Collision bound?
MCMG will go to AEW. Should've probably did that from the start.
Black & Zelina...I mean, just no reaction and no plan apparently. Dragon might get a kick out of this one.
Kairi - don't like this one. Solid in the ring and they've spent a year with her being subservient to Asuka and now she's gone.

Lots of releases this time.

MCMG were complete idiots to ever sign with WWE to begin with. Would have been treated like gods in AEW from day one. Yet they signed with the company that doesn't give two craps about tag team wrestling unless it's the Usos. One of the stupidest free agency decisions I have ever seen in my lifetime.

lol at Aleister getting released. Didn't want to play ball in AEW and tried to get out early using some BS excuse so he could go back to being bored by his boy Triple H only to get released by him. Hope you enjoy karma. And hopefully TK ignores his phone calls and texts. Go to TNA or something you fuc*ing bum.

Releasing Kairi is so incredibly stupid in a company trotting out a bunch of Diva era wrestlers. And they release her in the middle of a long-term story.

Escobar re-signed less than a year ago allegedly to a big money contract so he wouldn't end up in AEW/CMLL. Then they benched him for months. Now they cut him while recovering from a torn bicep.

If I was TK I'd take a flyer in ROH on Alba Fyre and Zoey Stark and see what happens.

All the other names I recall seeing? They should either retire or hit the Indies.,

I'd imagine if MCMG decides to head to AEW we'll see a four-way tag match at All In of FTR vs. Christian/Cope vs. Young Bucks vs. MCMG

TK and Young Bucks are big fans of MCMG so the offer will or sure be there, I'd imagine.

Kenny Omega is going to be pushing hard for Kairi too. That's his dram signing. If I was her I'd go back to Stardom though. The state of women's wrestling in AEW and main roster WWE is disgraceful.

I see the ole trim the fat post Mania annual cuts have begun.

Sane and Black were the only real surprises to me. Everyone else was either undercard or expendable.

Agree with Dragon that MCMG going to WWE was idiotic. Those guys are ready made for AEW and the AEW fanbase will actually know who they are and pop for them.
