WR YAC Next Year?

I am worried about our WR situation next year. Morgan
and Spielman make things look promising. However, without
Morgan next year I can see the TE stepping up and Speilman
being awesome. However, need at least 1 other guy getting
consistent catches and YAC. It was amazing that Martinez
completed 66% of his passes with some WR drops and
seen a lot of guys that couldn't get separation. Who will
step up next year?

Do you think McCaffrey would give any thoughts to switching to WR? He’d be electric. His oldest brother and dad both took that route to the NFL and I’m not sure there is NFL arm talent there.

Outside WR is the biggest question on offense next year. We will be good everywhere else, but this is a big concern. JD is great in the slot, but Stan is the only one producing on the outside and he is leaving. I am hoping for an impact grad transfer on the outside.

JaVonte Richardson would be a terrific get. Kentucky thinks they can get him back.
I’d love to repay them the favor.

WR is about as important as corner...if we shore up the line, if AM is healthy and we have a solid 2 back set we will be fine at WR...as good as Stan is...he isn't a dominant force by any means...as far as I can tell he doesn't garner double coverage deep, and he isn't electric in the screen game...he is decent fit for an NFL offense but some of his talent is lost in this system. Losing J.D would be a bigger loss because JD is much better as a deep threat and in small space. Never once has NU lost games because their WR core wasn't good enough...if the rest of the offense is clicking the WRs will look good, they will be open, and make big plays.

I like Warner or Williams if they attack it this offseason. It’ll be interesting to watch play out. I would almost guarantee McCaffery redshirting unless he just makes that much of an impact which is definitely possible

Not unless we recruit another qb or two.

Woodyard and Hunt are both very fast, and remember Hunt was a USC commit until the last couple months before NSD. Woodyard has run a 4.41, which up for debate, but the 21.3 200 m tells me he is very fast. The 200 m is less dependent on the start and who is doing the timing, and more dependent on pure speed.

Edit-I was doing a little reading on Miles Jones, and didn't realize he had such a good 20-yard shuttle time (4.04) and vertical (39.5 inches). No wonder his lateral quickness is so pronounced.
