Obviously we all know by now Steady Stedman put his hat in the ring... Id like to see him given the opportunity, at least for 1 season, to see if thats his calling, but outside of SB, who are a few realistic+probable candidates?
I dont think Brown will hire just anyone, actually I think this could be a blessing and allow Brown to upgrade at that spot. I think SB would be a great recruiter, would connect very well with current recruits in FL & elsewhere, and given his collegiate & pro experiences, he may in fact be better then Dye, as SB's technique & sure-handiness is why he was so good .. That said, Brown will hire someone of quality who exudes the character & culture he is building in Morgantown, so Im sure whomever it will be, he will add something to the group. Personally, I hope its either SB or someone from a different offensive coaching tree, to bring new & different perspectives, or at least has experience under multiple+varying offensive philosophies. To get someone more experienced, its going to require more then $200K tho, while SB would probably take the job for $200K...
If you look at major programs, some of the larger programs have old HC's or OC's as position coaches, I suppose Brown in many ways, is limited to what Lyons gives him..
Are there any names floating around other then SB?? I havent checked the boards in a few days so...
