Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte decommited. Can't find the tweet but Hayes Fawcett hinted that a commit may be coming this week. Not sure if these are related.

Nebraska cooled on Bonwell-Witte after his knee injury and lack of visits. They’ve since offered other WRs like Milan Parris (Iowa State commit), Larry Miles, and Nalin Scott—both of whom are now part of the 2026 class and rated higher. The shift in focus made Bonwell-Witte’s decommitment feel inevitable.

Do we even need any more high school WRs? We seem to have a decent WR room at this point. I feel like 90% of the WRs we get from HS never pan out anyway. Go get some more transfers.
Yeah we like to carry 18 WRs on the roster and only 2 with college playing experience

Nebraska's not on a good path for the 2026 class, coaches better finish strong.
Unless there is a huge outflow through the transfer portal don't expect a big class. The current roster is filled with young players so it puts a lid on the number we are able to recruit.

I should have been a bit more clear, I really meant quality, I don't see the kind of talent currently commited compared to what Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Oregon, and Penn State have. Until Nebraska hauls in the same kind of players, they will be stuck in the same rut they're in now.

High school players are a crap shoot when coaches can't develop. I'm a huge fan of a 50/50 approach whereby you recruit half high school kids and pull in half portal guys.

That’s great! We are setting up our QB’s and wideouts! Who’s going to block for them? We need more line help. Why is it so hard to recruit DL to Nebraska?
