I have never really cared about having the inside scoop on recruits, but I'm glad the service is there for those who do. I'm happy getting to know the players when I watch them at games.

Keep telling yourselves that…there is no WR without the premium subscribers.
The free board is the heart and soul of WR. Quite often I would see some posters *cough* reshare info from the free board on The Rock and claim it was breaking news. And there was rarely any info on Basketball over there which has become our most exciting program.

Now, I may sign back up the next time there’s a sweet deal. But I find myself happy as a freeloader, saving $100 and feeling good!

Good, can’t wait for the next free year to get ya’ll back so we can get the inside scoop on the Rock without having to check the free board.

Wildcat Report is thriving. The addition of Matt Shelton has provided an incredible boost. The kid is everywhere right now…hitting up recruits, breaking news and writing terrific features. It’s a shame some of the old guard can’t recognize his efforts. The combination of Lou and Matt has taken the board to a new level. If you’re not subscribing, it’s your loss.

Yes, it's my loss, so why do you care so much.

I guess it’s my nature. I respect the efforts Lou and Matt put forth for very little compensation. I resent those that spend so much time here (yet have the financial means) but don’t support that effort. I find it to be selfish and somewhat disrespectful.

You know about everybody's financial means?

Yes, he does. He knows everything, and he cannot understand why you spend so much time and money on stamp collecting and porn while not spending a cent on WR.

He found out about my cats and my aluminum recycling. Embarrassed, I became a Rock member shortly afterward.

Who the heck spends money on porn these days? I mean I hear it's pretty much free ;) .

Are Lou and Matt paid based on the number of paid subscribers? I’d be more inclined to subscribe if I knew that they would benefit rather than rivals.

Can you explain how they’re compensated for their efforts?

It’s a fair question. I honestly don’t know the exact way they are compensated for their efforts. I do know premium subscriptions are an integral part of that compensation. Not sure how Rivals makes their money in relation to Lou and Matt. It would be up to Lou to share the compensation model.

Originality and a high-horse?! Aren't you a catch!

Oh yes, and at least $10 a month of disposable income.

You really are perfect. I am jealous.
I've been reading Harry Potter to my daughter and I thought it said Prefect.

The free board when active quite literally brings in subs to the paid board. You aren’t going to have many people see a dead free board and pay for the rock. You also might deter people from going on by constantly bashing the free board. I lurked for multiple years and posted on the free board before pulling the trigger. Also stop caring how people spend their money. The free board exists for a reason.

The rock has better information and some that never comes out but some people don’t value that and just want a place to talk with fellow NU fans. The more active and friendly the free board the more likely lurkers will start posting and a percentage of those will join the Rock. The more active and friendly it is will also draw more people in. Imagine if this is someone’s first time visting the site and this is the first thread they click on. So let’s just all please get along and try to keep this board welcoming and active so we have a place to talk NU sports.
