Kentucky lose in the round of 64 like this year, or lose in the championship game in the same fashion that UNC did? Which one would hurt more? Which one would put More heat on CCC seat?

This is not ridiculous. In 03 we lost the title to Syracuse by 3 and shot 12-30 FT. I was up till like 4am racking my brain to find the missing 3 points.

When we get punked early I sleep like a baby and go on as if nothing happened

I agree. The Tourney is severely overhyped. I’ve said that for 16 years here and I still feel that way whether we win it all or get punked

Yeah because you were a 4 seed with no chance to do anything those years. In 03, Kansas was one of the best teams in the country. It hurts to lose a close one but it's a way better ride to get there. For instance, KU's win over Arizona and then demolishing Marquette by 34. Fun.

Losing close games when you're close to a title are always heartbreaking. I sure as hell wouldn't trade the banner and success in exchange for losing to a double-digit seed the first day of the tournament.

I don't know if overhyped is the right word, but the current 68 team format is atrocious.

We're supposed to be trying to decide a national champion. While I agree with anyone who will say "You should have beaten St Peter" reality is they didn't have any business being in the conversation to play for a title.

College football takes it perhaps too far in the other extreme....we have 5 power conferences and only 4 playoff spots? Cmon now. 8 gives room for all 5 champs, an at large like Cincinnati last year, a great team from a P5 conference like Alabama who didn't win their conference but clearly belongs, etc.

NCAAT will never contract because it's the NCAAs money maker, but the tournament has no business being larger than 16 teams.

It would also make the NIT more prestigious once again by having the equivalent of the caliber of teams that make the New Years Day and New Years Eve bowls.

The play in games are a complete crock of ****.

In the end, I'd rather say we got an Elite8, Final4, and Title appearance.. than having none of it, and actually having a team that had a historic letdown.

Also, keep in mind.. in this scenario, we would have beat UNC in the Elite 8, beat Duke in the final 4. SO all of this is well worth of a letdown in a title game to Kansas.. than losing to a 15 seed.

Really, I would rather they lose in the championship game than lose to a 15 seed in the first round. No brainer.

Losing in the title game sucks, but you’re still one of the last two teams standing and putting a banner up in Rupp. Losing in the first rd is just embarrassing. What a ridiculous question.

I mean they're not gonna change the NCAAT because of revenue. Only thing they would do is expand even more, for more money.

68 teams is horseshit. Are we trying to crown a champion or not? Most of the team the teams in the Final Four have a solid case to belong there.

My rant is about teams who clearly have zero business having a shot to win a national championship getting one. It's absurd some of these teams that are let in.

Does 6-6 South Carolina in the Duke's Mayo Bowl deserve a shot at the football natty?

No. Of course not. So why do we put up with this horseshit in basketball?

Fans won't be satisfied until we beat Duke in the title game by 40 points. But they will expect it every year after that
