Stony Brook, Hartford, and one other game we’ve lost. Perception is everything and that Seton Hall win means nothing now.

We have the least amount of talent in big ten. This is who we are.

Will take several years

The SHU win was huge and I wouldn’t trade it for those you mentioned. Most people that casually follow the program aren’t even aware of the Stonybrook and Hartford losses. The consensus everywhere is the program is moving in the right direction.

People overreact after every loss. The fact is we beat Iowa and Wisky, and took mich st to OT on their court. We’ve been competitive in most games and are playing with inferior talent and depth. The help is on the way and key pieces (baker, Eugene, thiam, duke) are already in place. Next year add Mathis kiss Carter Johnson and you’ll start to see real progress.

I am happy that we defeated SHU but there is still actually no excuse at all for ever losing to Stony Brook or Hartford. That blame is on the entire team. We would be at 14 wins with those 2 and only needing 2 more for a winning record. Those losses were a slap in the face to the loyal fans who have supported this team forever. I said that at the time and I still feel that way.SB I think is now 8-13. That is embarrassing.

Every year we hear that help is on the way. I am not convinced that the young guys coming in are going to be an immediate upgrade over the guys who are leaving, especially if Sanders doesn't return.

Think the big man will be a plus over Freeman. Tired of him forcing shots versus two guys around him.

Often the help comes from the young guys already on the team. If Duke, Thiam, Baker and Omorouri can improve AND we get one or two of the new guys to play as well as Baker has as a frosh, then we've got something. And of course, just having some depth will help immensely. I suspect one of the reasons we keep losing tight contests is fatigue at the end of the game. It's hard to hit a jumper with no legs.

Wow really taking it personal huh? Slap on the face to loyal fans? They lost one possession games they shouldn’t have lost.

13-10 does look better than 12-11, but if the one win difference doesn't result in a post season appearance,
I'll keep the Hall win and the good feeling that goes with it.
There hasn't been too many great feelings this season like the one that came after beating Seton Hall, so giving that feeling up is hard to do for me.
Also knowing Hall fans can't come on this board talking smack without hearing about that win is another reason to keep it ( in my opinion) .

to me its about the winning record thing....12 years since it happened....one win makes a big difference,,,RU isnt winning 4 more conference games this year, they have a shot for 3.

Could we end up being the bad loss that keeps SHU out of the Dance? I'd totally take that right now.

No way would I give it back. We won the game and shut them down for over the last 6 minutes.
