Would this be the most palatable solution....

Somewhat agree with this, but it’s all a mute point because that language was needed to secure enough votes to get rid of the old flag.

At this point I say go with this. I think it is Unifying

He stayed a night an Starkville and sings about Jackson. And I think it pretty much expresses lately what all people feel about any opinion other than their own.

Do we even have to have a state flag?

We can wait for however it takes to approve a new design...

I admit before the vote in 2001??? I didn't know what the State Flag looked like (just never thought about it)...this isn't that important an issue...Not the symbol but having a flag.

While we are at it...change the state song to Jimmy Rodgers...Miss the Mississippi and You

Even looking past the "In God We Trust" aspect of it, shouldn't the biggest issue with the seal flag be that it's just plain ugly? I mean the state seal is so bland and generic, there are way better designs that can compromise between including IGWT and an aesthetically pleasing design. But that's just a student's opinion

Would y’all prefer the legislature to vote on a new flag design, or the citizens? I’m thinking citizens would give us the more desirable design. Which would be the hospitality flag IMO.
