Would Moorhead have lost this game?

I think Moorehead’s offense would have gotten more than 14 points just by sure physicality. A purposeful run game would have worked. Leach only half *** runs the ball, even if they had a lot of attempts.

His history against Arkansas says no.
The way the program was trending when he was let go says yes.

We honestly won't know where UPig ranks in the cellar until they play Lane Train and Mizzou. They'll win one of those

You guys realize they wouldn’t have run 3-3-5 / 3-2-6 crap all night against Moorhead with Shrader at QB, right?

You can’t run that defense last night against a QB who even halfway scramble. That’s why it’s so frustrating to us, because any of our last few QBs could have run for 5-10 yards every play until they switched out of that defense.

This is exactly why I wasn’t optimistic about this season. A transfer QB, no spring practice, new offense for everyone, dealing with Covid. It’s not going to be a polished product anytime soon despite how good it looked last week. It’s going to be a big transition year. Just enjoy the wins and chalk up the losses to switching to an offense we’ve never dreamed of seeing at MSU.
