My guy, did you not watch what happened to Arkansas this year the last two times they played a legit team? Lost by 30 to Florida and 20 ro zona.

Pope not being the answer doesn’t mean Cal is either. Cal is content to put kids in the lottery without ever being a legit title threat. arkansas will be a top 15-25 team every year. May even sneak into a final four with a good draw. But dont you want to at least feel like Kentucky has a chance to win the whole thing?

We need to look elsewhere. Should be focusing on finding the next Hurley, not trying to retread a 65 year old that hasn’t sniffed a title in over a decade. That would be like IU fans wanting Bob Knight back after he took Texas Tech to a Sweet Sixteen 15 years after his last final four.

We and the rest of college ball would have laughed at them.

Neither is Pope. If Cal were here and MOTIVATED, he could get to a FF. Pope has less chance than Donald Duck.

Anyone that wouldn’t rather have Cal than Pope is just letting their pride screw with them. That being said, that ship has sailed and Cal will never be back at UK.

Unfortunately, the best case now is a season bad enough to justify firing Pope. Hire the right coach at the end of next season and rebuild. The selection of that coach will be the key.
