Would an Elite Eight be enough?

That would be a good season for IU. But if they lost in the first or second round I may question why he still has the IU job.

Tom "Sweet Sixteen" Crean will never make an Elite Eight while at IU

I don't know what it will take to save Crean's job. And I don't know how far they will go in the tournament. But I do know this: They'll hang a banner for SOMETHING this year.

I think going to elite eight would be great for them, since they have not been there since 2002. Cream would keep his job

An elite 8 will result in their cutting down the nets after the lose.

They are putting this guy on staff.

Every day there is a new Crean thread. What is with the obsession? Yeah, he's goofy, over the top, and takes himself too seriously. He must be a pretty good coach. He's 4-1 against UK (not counting the 0-3 against the post-Samson fiasco), and 3 of those were when it counted. Let the loss in Bloomington go and move on.

The post-Samson fiasco???????

So when Crean beats us and we just happen to have our star player wearing a cast or a raving drunkard coaching his first year with the empty stable Tubby left us, all that counts against us....but when we beat Crean two years after he takes over IU that's just Kelvin Samson's fault and it magically doesn't count?

You are even worse than your fellow fans. Your loser coach is 4-4 against us and he ought to thank his lucky stars he found a publicity scam that let him opt out of the same annual *****-slapping Pitino gets. If your creepy clappy boy is smart he'll hand out rings for being 4-4 against us while his record is still that good.

I think you're missing the point of Creanmania. It has nothing to do with winning or losing, it's about popcorn boxes.

I don't understand all Crean hate and criticism. In my opinion he is doing a solid job at IU and he has job security at IU regardless if he gets bounced in the first round of the tourney the next three years in a row. He has made IU somewhat relevant and that is pretty good performance.
