Worst Offensive Performance

I don’t know bout ya’ll, but to me the measuring stick for the worst offensive performance is the 2007 Pitt game. I went back and looked at the stats and here is what I found:

2007= 183 yards
Last night=. 152 yards

1st downs

2007= 12
Last night= 9

Passing

2007= 93
Last night= 100 (Way to go Grier!)

Turnovers

2007= 5
Last night = 1

Rushing

2007= 104
Last night= 52

3rd down

2007= 5-14
Last night= 1-10

Worst of all we had to hear Sweet Caroline played immediately after the game ended as the Iowa State students rushed the field

Grier is overhyped badly. He’s not top 5 QB in WVU history. Luck, Hosstetler, Major Harris, Pat White, Geno were better. Even Geno. The other 4 were way better. Grier does nothing against real defenses. He’s been exposed. Good QB but not great by any stretch. Average too often. Bad last night. Real bad.
