rules is rules...

My roommate at UK had a huge Samantha Fox crush - multiple pictures of her on his side of our dorm room - including the one posted here.

As far as "good" nicknames are concerned, I always liked Dwight "The Blur" Anderson. Such a great talent that was squandered.

Chuck Verderber? Long time ago we used to just call him "VD" but I still don't think that was a bad nick.

I remember when Matt Jones tried to give Perry Stevenson the nickname "Pacman" in an interview and he said please don't call me that. Call me Swat.

Especially the "team" nicknames that for whatever reason MUST always start with the prefix "un"
It was actually cool up to a point. The original Fabulous Five. The Fiddlin' Five. Rupp's Runts. The Unforgettables. Those came about organically. Anything since then has been pretty forced, especially once the message board era got into high gear 15-18 years ago.

For being nicknamed "Smooth," Ramel Bradley's game wasn't exactly smooth.

Can't forget the Shagari Safari though. That rhymes and you know it rhymes!

Saul Smith - point guard
You left out a key word there: "starting".

Take that word out of the equation, and history might look upon Saul a lot more kindly. It would have been a lot easier to swallow if he had been a 10-15 mpg backup. As opposed to the 2 year starter (3rd in minutes both those years) guy he ended up being.
