Worst and most devastating loss since Georgetown in 1999 . Or maybe even ASU in 1991. So much at stake in all of these games . Tough to recover for any team and program from tonight.
Every road loss was devastating because of the cumulative affect.

disagree. It would have been a devastating loss if we had blown an 18-point lead and lost. This way the team learned a lot about what it takes to win on the road. Neither team played for forty minutes; they won the first half 42-24, and we won the second 40-23.

The only thing that matters is the selection committee . How do you think they will value us winning the second half tonight ?
Interesting logic

Tonight was so much more. Team battled and should have won. It would have been a program defining win. Now we probably sit home on selection Sunday
One game won't decide if Rutgers gets a NCAA bid.Rutgers had ample opportunities to win games on the road but you aren't going to win when the opponent makes more foul shots and 3 pointers.Coming close doesn't count in basketball.

This was then game we needed to have and could have had . If our season ends (we don’t give a crap about NIT)
in the big ten tournament this will be why .

We lost to UCONN one year at the RAC by 1 pt when they were number 1 in the country during the Waters years. . Would have been huge.
