Worst Final Four ever…

[BlueBomb]

Just sayin’

[Wildcat-Lane]

The winner of the Miami and UConn game will win the title.

[Urolex]

Cal pissing down his leg has ended in 2 Uconn titles (2011, 2014) and you could argue 2 Duke titles (2010, 2015). Unbelievable that Uconn will soon have 5 titles in 24 years

[richbrookstomato]

What's sad is the fact that our $9 million/ year coach couldn't get us there with such an UNDERWHELMING group of teams.

Do the coaches that made it to the Final 4's CUMULATIVE salaries equal what Cal makes per season???

[Camhawk2012]

It is proven that the blue bloods are good for tv. Its a fact. People hate them but tune in

[Son_Of_Saul]

It's a far cry from the Final Fours of my childhood.

Remember that '93 Final Four? The Fab 5 vs. Mashburn's Kentucky Wildcats on one side and Kansas vs. UNC on the other?

Talk about the modern game going towards the crapper.

[ukwazoo]

I'll watch and root against UConn with all my being

[Duke Bluu]

Miami is going to beat FAU in the National Championship Game. FYI, the schools are 1 hour a part.

[electricat2]

i disagree, i like seeing these unknown teams compete. you can tell they have a chip on their shoulder.
not entitled like some teams

[Thunder Mash]

At least Cal and his fat pockets get to add to the viewership. Not like he's doing anything else.

[jbne222]

Honestly I've enjoyed it a lot, especially because almost every sweet 16 game and beyond has come down to the very end (minus the UConn games). I like seeing some of these lesser programs have success, and it's better than seeing our rivals there

[RalphDaltonFan]

True, but UConn has also pissed all over Duke too. They prevented Duke in '99 and '04 from having 2 more National Titles.

[BigRedMachineBigBlueNation]

I bet the number of people watching the FF and title game will be pretty low . A big drop from last years all Blue Blood FF. Literally one school that cares about bball and then a football school, and two mid-majors

[Neue Regel]

Championship game is definitely Saturday at 9. I think FAU’s run is at its end putting SDSU in the title game. (Now watch the opposite lol)

[VaxxedObamaCat]

I disagree.

There’s been plenty of **** final fours. Just because the names in this final four aren’t your traditional ones, doesn’t make it suck.

2009 zzz
2011 was three awful games
2006 sucked
2000 was brutal

2010 and 2015 sucked but 2011 and 2014 were both incredible runs where we far exceeded pre-tournament expectations. But still crazy those losses have all led to Duke or UConn titles

[VaxxedObamaCat]

Me too. It’s way better than college football which is the same teams over and over again.

[Duke Bluu]

F*ck UCONN

[TigerMoving]

Much better than last year with UNC, Duke, Kansas and Nova. What a god awful week of waiting and praying Nova would pull off the miracle.

[bucsrule8872]

UConn’s title to lose. I will root for the underdogs, but UConn will easily win the title.

[bbnkat02]

On the left side, mid-majors, on the right side two major conference schools.

We will see if college basketball still belongs to the "big" schools or not.

[Son_Of_Saul]

Once UConn wins their 5th title in 23 years, I wonder if the Calipologists will keep chirping about how "It's naive to expect UK to win multiple titles in a short period of time."

[VaxxedObamaCat]

2000 was 5 seed Florida vs 8 seed unc
The other matchup was 1 seed Michigan State vs 8 seed Wisconsin in a game that ended in the 40s.

[FitchandMurray29]

No star players(NBA hype guys), no marquee program, no bracket interest for the vast majority of the population. Not ideal. I’ll watch some if I’m not doing anything else because I’m a maniac and watch way too many sports. But I will not keep track of the time Saturday/Monday to make sure I’m front and center.

[Johnfarrel]

The average seed number of the four teams making the Final Four is 5.75. Don't ever remember it being that high. No ones, no twos and no threes. Whatever system the committee uses to do it seeding, it failed them miserably this year.

[TucsonCat]

Yes, I can see that some of the more casual, uneducated fans who don't understand the game won't watch. Those women who only turn in to see teams Christian Laetner played for.

But the number one Ken Pom team.
Two Top 5 offenses
A top 5 defense.
Team with the best record in the nation.
I'll watch that.

[BigRedMachineBigBlueNation]

Honestly the last few FFs sucked. 2019 I couldn’t have given less of a **** who won. 2021 was the same outside of rooting for anybody but UCLA. 2022 I was going to be pissed no matter who won.

[Wunky]

F*ck UCONN

At least Dookies and BBN can agree on this one subject.

[LmdCat]

San Diego St is the only weak link in the final 4. The teams that made it earned it, so I am not certain why you think it isn't going to be good. Big familiar names this season only brought a lot of talk. The players are the ones who made it. The Elite 8 was very entertaining even though the Creighton vs San Diego St game was more like a football game.

[RalphDaltonFan]

F*ck UCONN

Feel your pain. '11 and '14 so not like I'm absolving Kentucky from it Duke Blu. Just stating facts. And in '04 it was Stall Ball from Coach K that cost them that game. You've been around here long enough to know how fans feel about Cal/Stall Ball.

[Son_Of_Saul]

All those guys collectively get paid less than Calipari.

[DaDirtyLeb69]

Have a felling the championship game will be worse than that butler vs UConn game from 2011

[richbrookstomato]

WOW!!! So Cal makes 2 million MORE than all 4 of the Final 4 coaches!!!

I NEVER want to hear another poster on this board say, "WHO can UK get that could do BETTER"!!!!!!

From the looks of that group, UK could do MUCH BETTER and CHEAPER!!!!

SAD

[UKNothinButNet]

Another cluster-F of a season. Thanks CCC.

[Player2020]

UConn’s title to lose. I will root for the underdogs, but UConn will easily win the title.

Bro Miami will beat them

[Shaudylo]

Let the games play out first .

Also there is zero star power in college basketball right now where you view a player as a must see player .

[*Fox2Monk*]

Cal makes almost 2.5 million more than the entire final four group lmfao.

[Duke Bluu]

Also there is zero star power in college basketball right now where you view a player as a must see player .

I don't know man, that Jordan Hawkins. Prettiest shot in the game. Looking like Jesus Shuttlesworth (AKA Ray Allen) out there. Hope they lose though.

[Catzman]

I disagree. It's fun seeing teams who don't usually make it, make it. I want to be there but its boring seeing the same 7 or 8 teams duke it out. I think it'd be fun as hel having SDSU or Miami winning it. FAU would be another mind-f**k.
