They MIGHT be down this year with such a young team - no seniors.

But Cook has been talking very optimistically about how feisty and competitive the incoming freshman are. Sounds like a fun season to me!

Beason will easily fill Whitney's spot. The really intriguing players are Choboy and Murray. They are not your typical freshman. It just seems like Lexi and Choboy in the back row will make it very difficult for opposing hitters to find the floor. We may have a few early season struggles again against high level teams but should be very tough late in the year.

In cook I trust. New pieces yes. I'm disappointed lauenstein isn't playing but I think our back row will be better. We've struggled there lately. We'll be a very solid team

Really hope this thing goes off without a hitch. Any idea if alcohol is sold?

I have heard from a big Husker v-ball fan (my cousin) that a bunch of Wisconsin nerds were protesting that this isn't an official volleyball match because most of the tickets sold were to see the musical act. Holy crap that was funny. All the tix got sold prior to any act getting named and I am guessing most in attendance don't have a clue who that garbage American Idol guy even is. They may have had a point if when they sold the tix, they announced Zach Bryan was performing. He will be in town the night before at Pinnacle.

Well I just did entirely too much google-fu and did a little homework. American Idol heart-throb is on tour playing to places with capacity around 2000. That loser Zach Bryan is playing arena's with a capacity around 20k. Pinnacle is one of the smaller ones at 16k. Ticket prices are considerably cheaper on the Idol dude too. Ok, Idol ain't garbage. I just don't like him. I think he sucks. Thats just my opinion though.

I’m sure when Scotty mccreary first came out he was playing bigger shows too. I like them both to be fair. Different styles obviously
