Working from home starting today.

Got word this afternoon the office was shutting down. Me and my department are more equipped than most in the building to work remotely, so working from home will only be a mild nuisance from that perspective.

biggest issue is schools are out too. So two teenagers and a college student all here as well. I’m about to toss the damn google home devices over into the cow pasture behind me. One likes to sing along to show tunes blasting at max volume. The college student is a political nut Bernie Bro, ate up with all this mess. Who also likes to play his vast array of music at the highest decibels.
So gonna have to lay out some ground rules tonight for business hours.

I get a ton done around the house when I work from home.

I blew insulation in the attic a few weeks ago. Tiled 1400 square feet back last summer. Did all new baseboards and trim. Had a few WebEx meetings in there.

I'm a group lead of a warehouse so no working from home for me but my wife is an office manager and she started today working from home. They told me if we get to a level 3 that I will have to start temperature scanning people before they start work everyday. Our hours got altered today and they told us no more big group meetings and no more breaks and lunches in the breakroom with big groups! Told us we had to take breaks or lunch at work station or in cars.
