How can they defend giving them 1 second unless the game clock they showed on TV was incorrect. Of course it’s Michigan.
Like that time they let them beat us with that FG with no time left. How can they defend giving them 1 second unless the game clock they showed on TV was incorrect. Of course it’s Michigan.
Exactly. Kyle Whittingham should have apologized for winning the game that way. Michigan absolutely did not deserve to win that game. I feel so bad for WMU, they got completely robbed.Like that time they let them beat us with that FG with no time left.
As a fellow West Michigander who tires of how special U of M thinks they are in everything, I hope Fitz’s MSU drills them.I heard that UM won on the last play, and I immediately said to my wife before seeing what happened, "I bet the refs did something to help them win."
He doubled down saying he thought he saw 1 second left on the clockExactly. Kyle Whittingham should have apologized for winning the game that way. Michigan absolutely did not deserve to win that game. I feel so bad for WMU, they got completely robbed.
Said the exact same thing to the people I was with tonight. Never would have happened in a million years. There is ZERO chance, ZERO, that WMU would’ve gotten a second put back on the clock if they were behind and going for a winning score.
I am an Eastern Michigan alum, I was overjoyed just before they announced the clock BS. I can't stand the Wolverines anymore!!! Shoot my sis, an U of M alum can't stand them since they have sunk so low as OSU. Not sure about my brother, another U of M grad, but he might be with my sis. It is all about the $$$$ anymore, which is why my interest in CFB has started to wane the past several seasons. My Alma Maters both stink at football now as well. Football season isn't what is used to be for me. Hopefully the Cats can make us happy this season!!!!!!As a fellow West Michigander who tires of how special U of M thinks they are in everything, I hope Fitz’s MSU drills them.
Those three years of late michigan losses left deep scars on me.Even though technically it is when it goes out of bounds and not when it is touched, only blue blood schools get that call. It reminds me of the refs giving Michigan the last second FG to tie us in 2013 (we eventually lost in triple overtime). We were not allowed to substitute when they brought the kicker in but the refs let them kick anyway. Only blue bloods.
Because the replay on TV with the game clock clearly showed 0:00 before the guy touched the ball. Apparently there was another angle that showed otherwise, perhaps the camera feeds were on different fraction of a second delay, otherwise it’s inexplicable.Nobody dislikes *ichigan more than me, but how is this different than any other time the ref says: "clock operator, please reset the game clock to x"?
I don't doubt that they get favored treatment, (see 2013 game) but I don't get this
Reminds me of 1972 Olympic basketball game. Doug Collins still probably doesn't sleep well.
Combine this with all the NIL and transfer nonsense and gambling is the thing that keeps it all together.I am an Eastern Michigan alum, I was overjoyed just before they announced the clock BS. It's so obvious it's almost comical.
What got SMU the Death Penalty in 1980 is now common practice. The game has degraded immensely!!!Combine this with all the NIL and transfer nonsense and gambling is the thing that keeps it all together.
Got to remember that is not generally the official time, It will be close but I do not believe it is officialBecause the replay on TV with the game clock clearly showed 0:00 before the guy touched the ball. Apparently there was another angle that showed otherwise, perhaps the camera feeds were on different fraction of a second delay, otherwise it’s inexplicable.
