Hard to believe it's week 11 already.

West Henderson @ ACR
ACR by 14

North Buncombe @ Asheville
NB by 7 ( I think Asheville has mailed it in already )

Erwin @ North Henderson
Erwin by 10

TCR @ Tuscola
This is a hard one to call for me.
Tuscola by 3 because they are at home and dedicating the field in honor of Doug Brooks this Friday.

AC Reynolds by 28 (I believe ACR will be as focused as ever for this one)

North Buncombe by 6 (Asheville just doesn't seem to care, NB wins)

Erwin by 20 (too much speed for NH to handle)

Tuscola by 1 (this is a battle for that 3rd place playoff bid, winner in alone in 3rd with a week to go. Tuscola dedicating field and Senior night should lift them, but they need to be ready to stop the pass and ready for some speed because TCR has it. It's going to be a very tough game and Tuscola will need to play their best)

I agree, ACR has a lot of talent but so does several other 3AA teams. I just want a chance to play the best, should we lose no shame in that, I don’t want us to lose to a team who we should beat. I trust our players and coaches and think they will be prepared for anyone, not saying we would win but we will be prepared.

Nobody has a shot against Weddington in 3AA. They are a well oiled machine of disciplined kids.but I always liked AC because of the running back at south Carolina that played there

This year is weird. Asheville is clearly terrible and erwin is clearly terrible and so is pretty much everybody else in the mac. I don’t think anybody thinks west Henderson has anything for Reynolds and yet Reynolds has had better teams even recently, but because of the trash teams around them, they look like the 49ers.
I mean no disrespect to Reynolds, they are the best team in wnc, but this isn’t some great Reynolds state championship contender and they won’t have one game that is close in the conference

i have to agree with ahs cougar. we havent had a close game in the conference yet. and we may not but thats why the game is played on the field ya know..im not sure where we stand as far as being a championship contender.we got blown out at shelby but we played a pretty solid game against the defending 4a state champions the week before that game.you never know once the playoffs start.i like our chances though as i believe were playing better every week.im hoping theres a big crowd friday nite at home and we bring home another conference title. acr 35 west 10 nb 21 ahs 17 ewrwin 28 north 6 tuscola 21 tcr 14

I will agree that the WMAC is down this year. Maybe ACR makes it look worse than it is, I don't know. ACR is averaging 53 pts. a game and giving up 3.17 pts. a game in conference so far this year. ACR has improved since the Shelby game on a weekly basis. We were breaking in a new QB and several other spots as well. It took them some time to gell for sure. I don't know where ACR stands as far as the state goes. I know there are several teams that are very good. Weddington seems to be the bell cow of 3AA. All I know is that ACR will come out on any given Friday night ready to play whoever it is and will give all they have. That's all anyone can expect from their team.

Dont know about that ahs cougar.think i bumped ur head.lol.no way u could beat us now.our qb in sync with offense and wrs.hard for 2 people to guard one receiver.lol.

Lol I thought my sarcasm was evident, apparently not. We could play Reynolds for 14 quarters and not score 62 points. We are terrible in every aspect the game can be played. We have seniors that have played varsity for 3 years that were better as sophomores.

Not sure about that Tuscola and TCR game being for 3rd. If TCR wins, they’ll need to beat ACR or NB holds the tiebreaker over TCR & Tuscola (provided NB beats Asheville). With Erwin and Tuscola still on the slate as well, there’s an interesting last 2 weeks of the season ahead for that 3rd spot (at least we can enjoy a little bit of drama after some teams experiencing a rough season).

I clearly stated in my post that the winner is in 3rd place alone with a week to go, I never insinuated they would have 3rd wrapped up. The game is a battle for that 3rd spot as we sit this week. The winning team really helps put themselves in a good position while the losing team has a lot of work to do and needs more help from other teams. I never said the winning clinches 3rd or anything close to that.

I don’t think Erwin deserves to make the playoffs. 3rd place or not. This will be Erwin’s first losing season since 2007.

Congratulations to the AC Reynolds JV football team, they came out on Halloween and dressed like CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS!! Yes, they beat West Henderson JV’s 20-6 to secure a conference title. Both teams entered the game undefeated in WMAC Conference play.

The ACR JV's have improved by leaps and bounds from the first game. That is attributable to the hard work put in by the players and coaches. Congrats to them.
