Last week of the season. What you got?

WH(4-6) at Asheville(6-4)

TCR(3-7) at ACR(9-1)

Erwin(8-1) at Tuscola(7-3)

Enka(0-10) at NH(0-10)

My picks.

Asheville 28 WH 21...West shocked most of WNC by keeping their game with ACR close. I don't think they get that lucky two weeks in a row though. Asheville is playing well right now despite what some of their fans say.

ACR 49 TCR 7....I thought TC had some fight left in them but after a very lackluster showing vs Tuscola I think they have thrown in the towel. Reynolds must have been napping last week. I don't see Coach Laws letting that happen again.

Erwin 42 Tuscola 28...This should be a good game. Despite the criticism Tuscola has received from their county rivals they are 7-3 and have losses to all good teams. Erwin has cruised the last few weeks facing the bottom feeders of the conference. I like this matchup for the Warriors because our biggest weakness is pass defense and Tuscola doesn't seem to throw at all. Erwin is explosive offensively and if they can play a little D they should win comfortably.

NH 42 Enka 41...The game of the year right here. lol. Good news for one team is they wont be winless this season. North is at home and they have a solid rb. That will make the difference this week.

Asheville - West will battle them, but not enough athletes to beat Asheville

AC Reynolds - Last week was the first time I have EVER seen Coach Laws address his team in the locker room after the game instead of on the field. I have a feeling some things were said and a challenge was issued to the team. Last year all TCR wanted to do was fight, they cleared their bench once and the teams combined for 37 penalties for over 300 yards. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail this week. A lot of these kids went to middle school together at Cane Creek so it's kinda brother vs brother battle. I have no doubt ACR will be focused after last week, and it being Senior night I look for a big night from our guys.

Erwin - If Erwin can stop the run, it will be a 3 TD game easily, if they don't Tuscola will control the clock and limit the Warriors touches. Erwin has a good passing game, and athletes that make plays so I am going with them to take care of business and finish off a great regular season at 9-1.

North Henderson - at home they win by 2, and by that I mean final score 2-0 :D

TCR was very chippy when we played them as well. They do not seem very disciplined.

I honestly believe that last year they were trying to get us to fight so we would not be allowed to play in the playoffs. They were already out of the playoffs, like this year, and they want to try to pick a fight and hope we leave the bench area and get kicked out of the playoffs.

That was and still is my thinking on what transpired last year. It was especially evident when the outcome of the game wasn't in doubt.

Kinda concerns me about this week as well. Hope our guys will stay out of that crap and just play football.

Our guys need to understand that we have a lot more to play for and they have nothing else to look forward to except maybe basketball season.

acr 48 tc 7 erwin37 tuscola 27 asheville 28 west 21 nh 35 enka 21 the rockets should have enough discipline to overcome anything that tc throws at them. i dont think it could get any worse than it was last year. go green

Probably on the 2A board arguing with Pisgah, or down at the coffee shop complaining about the coach or the offense, or they could be filling out their forms to move down to 2A again and get out of the WMAC, or maybe just reminiscing about athletes of the past and how awesome it was when they were top dogs.

Oh and yeah, Tuscola will make the playoffs BD Warrior.

Disclaimer: Tuscola fans I'm just joking with you guys, don't take it personal. :D

So if Tuscola beats Erwin and Asheville beats WH who gets 2nd place in the conference? All three would have 2 losses. I am slightly concerned with Fridays game at Tuscola. Erwin can score at ease but the D will have to step up and Tuscola will be ready after last years blow out loss to Erwin. It is supposed to rain so you never know. That would help Tuscola a lot. I would not be shocked if the game is close but this is a good Erwin team so we will see.

If it's a 3 way tie, there would be a drawing Friday night among coaches or AD's involved for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. It's important because our conference gets 3 automatic bids, and the 4th place finisher is at the mercy of their MaxPreps adjusted rankings. However all 4 teams will get in, it's just that 4th seeded team will not have a good seed, and will be on the road in the first round.

i dont see tuscola being able to stay with erwin. tuscola is improved no doubt but not any where near enough speed to contain the warriors offense.

So if Erwin somehow lost the game to Tuscola and Asheville wins their game there is a outside possibility they finish 4th at 8-2 and not make the playoffs. It is a stretch and not likely but you never know. When it comes to the NCHSAA anything is possible. The bottom line is my Warriors need to handle business and none of it matters.

I promise with an 8-2 record there is absolutely NO WAY Erwin wouldn't make the playoffs. ALL 4 teams in our conference will make the playoffs, and North Buncombe will be on the bubble with their 6-5 record. Trust me Erwin is in the playoffs no matter the outcome of this week, they just need to win to get the second seed from our conference and probably get a 5 or 6 seed overall.

It's kind of scary how good Erwin could be when they actually play defense. They were lights out tonight. It's funny because the Haywood County newspaper was making fun of our defense pretty much while praising how good our offense was and then they got shut out. Good job on a great season Warriors. Let's hope it continues in the playoffs

Asheville 24-7 over west Henderson. Wasn’t impressed with either team. Reynolds really must have played awful last week.

Actually Tuscola passed a lot more than they ran tonight. They got behind really quick so I guess they were trying to play catch-up. Erwin played very conservative on offense. It's been awhile since I remember Simeon Thompson not scoring a td in a game.

Missed fg on 1st drive then threw int in red zone on second drive. Be happy with your shutout . Focus on your playoff game in 2 weeks . You beat a slightly average tuscola team that is very one dimensional. No passing game to mention of! Congrats on your win.

Terrible offense by Tuscola, really pathetic, should be a quick 1 and done in the playoffs yet they don't deserve to be there at all. I'm willing to give this coach some time but this season was almost a spitting image of another former coach before Pursley. It has to get better than this or it won't last long for him.....just pitiful!!

I didn't say anything bad about Tuscola. They tried passing all night though. Good luck in the playoffs

They not only beat them they shut them out. It was a very one sided game and Erwin could have put up 3 more tds easily. When are you guys going back to 2A? I really wish Pisgah would not run from Erwin. Tired of hearing how good they are since they haven't played anyone this year.

Oh boy here we go. It's been peaceful on here all year so might as well have a little fun now. Here comes the how bad Erwin used to suck in the 90's posts. We have two weeks so why not. Lol
