Erwin - Bring up some JV's to finish this one out, it's going to be ugly!

TC Roberson - Tuscola has run out of magic, this time they lose by 1 point.

Asheville - Too much speed, too much passing, NB won't be able to contain The High.

AC Reynolds - Another run first team, ACR seems to handle those teams fairly easy. Look for a running clock Friday.

The only thing we have going for us on Friday is the fact that it's supposed to be pouring. Maybe mother nature can help us slow down the ACR passing attack.

If it is a monsoon like the forecast says, I think Tuscola wins easily, TC doesn't have much of a running game, and thats all Tuscola does....forecast certainly favors the ground teams. Plus if they win, they are in, so I see them playing fired up for this one.

Tuscola may win but it won’t be easily. TCR is home and fighting for that playoff spot also. It will be a hard fought battle for both sides.

Who's this kid from Tuscola that's getting offers from Ohio State and Florida. Somebody good enough to get scholarships from those schools should be a stand out I would think. What's his story. Just curious

Honestly I'm not sure why all the attention. Seems to me he is an average player with good size but I have not seen any impact he makes on this Tuscola team. I assume they see the size and potential, maybe he has attended some high profile camps and has grabbed attention in that way. I don't really understand it but what do I know, regardless its good for him I suppose. His dad was an excellent player for THS, just loved to watch him, but I'm not sure if or where he went on to play college ball.

West fumbled at the 1 too. Should be 21-7.

I fully expect Reynolds to blitzkrieg the 2nd half but West is not a bad team, just very young. Remember, many of these kids are from a the JV team than ran through the WMAC last year, and they've had to bump some kids up from JV this year due to injuries. They were bound to get better as they gained experience. Next season should be fun in Mills River.

Welcome to the MAC. Where JV teams mean nothing. I can’t remember Asheville being great on JV, same for Erwin or ACR they have had good teams but not great. Mainly because they freshmen and sophomores are already on varsity. Sounds like a dog fight, I should have came I also live in mills river

We have had our best up on Varsity as well, and I don't agree about the JV as Reynolds has been dominate in that department as well. Reynolds is 34-6 in their previous 4 years. There's obviously a correlation. A handful of underclassmen aren't carrying your program, it's going to take about 20 others as well. Thanks for the welcome though. I think West will be ok.

31 in a row, doesn’t matter how we get there. We did have 3 turnovers that led to 14 points for them and we had 140 yards in penalties compared to 50 for West. Our defense did play well, we just didn’t play well on offense. West does deserve credit they played their guts out. On to next week!

Worst officiating in a football game I have ever seen. I can’t even begin to describe what incompetence they displayed tonight. WNC has got to be the worst for football officials in the state.

Hoping you guys can manage to score on ACR before your petition to leave the conference is approved. Don’t get too offended, if someone predicts a blowout win over tha neers next year.

To echo earlier post. West played their guts out. Great effort!!! ACR D played great! Flinn and company took over 2nd half.

The officials are out of control. Would not surprise me if 91 THS was on the crew tonight.

You’re not going to win them all by 40, although it would be nice. However West played their guts out and we didn’t seem real focused until we got down 14. Good teams have off nights, great teams find ways to win and we did that tonight. Hopefully this will wake us up and help us realize nothing is a given and we should be well prepared for TCR on Senior night. Last year was a brawl (almost literally) against TCR so I have a feeling we might have a fire lit in us now. Again hats off to West, they played well.

Good win for tuscola. Thought it would be tighter than that.

I was at the game last night. West played a heck of a ball game and left points on the field. The fumble at the goal line, the holding call on their first possession when they were inside the 15, etc. Refs were questionable but they were questionable for both sides. They missed an obvious facemask on Reynolds that would have extended a drive for West, missed a pass interference on an interception, and multiple others. Most of the holding calls and personal fouls on Reynolds were pretty obvious. All in all, Reynolds showed their championship pedigree by being able to overcome and conquer. West showed they have plenty to be excited about for the future. They are 4-6 with 3 losses to Reynolds, Tuscola and TCR by a combined 9 points. That's what you get with a young team.

Great game overall!

West been seeing this for years. They will never beat the top 3 teams. They got waxed by Erwin and Asheville and caught Reynolds on a rare off night. Next year will be no different. Jv don't mean crap really. Some of the best teams have bad jv

i wasnt at the game last nite but props to west for playing a really good game. hats off to the rockets for doing what you have to do to get the win. one thing i have been noticing more and more as the years go by is the referees i believe are starting to think that the fans pay to get in these games to watch them.whats up with that!being a ref is a hard job no doubt. i dont have the answers but seems to me there should be some way of weeding out the flag happy refs that think theyre providing the fans a great demonstration of arm strength by throwing so many flags. im not saying that the refs are biased against any one team more than others. im just saying they need to understand we want the players to decide the outcomes of the games not them.

Refs in WNC are absolutely atrocious, for every 1 good ref in our hills there are 10 bad ones. With that being said I’m proud of the mountaineers last night. Absolutely out hit TCR, drove it down their throat.. and shut them down defensively.

I have a family member that plays for West but I can tell you they're not on the level of Reynolds or Erwin. I went to that game that night in the final was 55 to 33 and it was never remotely even close. Just being real
