Will Wade is the guy they say ,and that’s taking a big chance. He’s accused of paying players out of his own pocket and lying about it . He’s on recorded audio talking about it and the case hasn’t been settled . No telling how long he gets suspended

Very curious to see who the smart money is on for this job. At one time, WKU was a very attractive non P-5 basketball school. Hope they get someone who really moves the needle.

Will they consider bringing Horn Back, he has done a good job at Northern Ky. or would he consider going back?
I wouldn't.

I mean WKU got rid of Harper and he made the tourney 2 out of his four seasons.

Athletic Directors have to be intelligent right? Because man it sure seems they make dumb decisions.....ALL the TIME!

No.... It took Kermit 9 years to make the NCAA when he was at MTSU. These guys fired Ray Harper for making the tourney twice in 4 years.
Harper got 2 16 seeds, which wasn't ideal for doing anything. His teams were never consistent and the last straw was his inability to keep recruits on campus, largely for disciplinary reasons. I supported WKU pulling the plug when they did.

I thought Stansbury was going to take off after the NIT final four in 2018 but he could never win the conference tourney. Wku choked it away 2 years ago too against North Texas in the last 2 minutes.

Not sure who the next hire should be but WKU should bet on an up and comer, not a retread or has been. Conference USA will be stronger in basketball next year too but it'd be better on the whole for WKU to get back to the Sun Belt or hop to the MAC.
