I know. I will now resort to hibernation mode!:joy:
Corruption. [laughing][smoke]
Agreed. It’s basically people saying they don’t want to be held accountable for their bad take. If you man/women enough to degrade or talk negative about a player when they are let playing well then you should be man/woman enough to eat the crow when they are playing well.
No different then saying you should be able to bully or talk bad about someone when they are struggling but when they are doing well they shouldn’t be able to call you on your B.S
Personally I think if someone wants to, do it. But lets not pretend that the other side of the coin couldn't be done the same. Just because one group projects their position as being wrong in a "positive" way, doesn't mean they are right. And really it's nothing more than a form of apathy because the "negative" side probably just cares more. I think it makes our program strong. They are far more important to the demanding nature of the job, which results in hardware if you continue the logic over time.
Now, now Mortouchysky, that fall's on your generation as much if not more. Control thy-self brother keep it impersonal and all is good. It's not "It's all good" that crap reeks. Get personal with a poster/player/coach/fan/whatever you do not know and it is too far either way.
It's your definition of soft that may be warped. (Other words too.) Many definitions of words are now skewed...why?
********. Not even close. Not a single thing posted here made a remote bit of difference. It's isolated whining.
No one here was less upset or cared less just because they had the emotional maturity and rationality not to act like a moron on the internet.
You would have more credibility if you name names. I have been critical of this teams makeup and basketball skills all year. But I have never once personally attacked them. I only question skills and execution and/or coaching decisions. You just need to stop lumping everybody not a sunshine pumper into Hilary’s “basket of Deplorables”.
You said you didn’t like Diallo and never would no matter what he did. Isn’t that the definition of personal attack? Had nothing to do with basketball.
Not here, in general, the environment they create around the program.
There is a distinctive difference in Yankee fans and Pirate fans, and their organizations reflect it.
Who raised us?
Wake me up when boomers come close to their parents.
Sorry.
As a side, I said some things that about Diallo that I stand by. I think Diallo would have left and never played a minute had he the option, but he didn't want to go to the D league or overseas. I didn't like the optics of how it happened but that's todays game.
As it stands, Diallo has quickly become one of my favorite players on this team in a matter of a few games. I hope he wants to stay, but I have my doubts.
Cal is not a traditional guy, and he brought fast change to the dynamics of the sport in a very short period of time. Humans are not designed to digest incredible change quickly. It's tough for some to see guys come in with UK second on their mind, and I get it.
I've accepted it because cal wins, and I want to win. Doesn't mean I have to like the system and the apathy toward college that has been a by product of it.
The people here acting like fools have never contributed anything to the program in a meaningful way.
Calling in to radio shows and posting nonsense on Cal's Facebook doesn't accomplish anything, but we have thousands of fans who think they're helping.
Thankfully, those aren't people who are making decisions. If they were, we'd have already run through Ford and Pelphrey and Woods as coaches and be lining up to hire McCarty and Epps this year.
I’m sure that other poster stands by his dislike for Diallo too. Maybe I’m old school, but I don’t think that kind of personal disparaging of one of our players is appropriate.
I mean, if you don’t like somebody you don’t like them. Free country. Just shouldn’t be saying that about a UK player on a UK message board.
Don’t like his jumper, or his hustle, or passing ability? Have at it.
I guess.
If someone showed me a tweet saying "Morgousky sucks *** bench the F outa him and pull his scholarship" when I played I would have laughed, said F'm, and turned to continue batting practice.
Serious question, there are a lot of players who credit harsh doubters and haters as a reason for their success. How do we know that Diallo wasn't shown(or looked himself) at social media comments about himself and it lit a fire? I do believe that these kinds of responses can generate a fire in an athlete and nothing but positive outcomes result from them.
Maybe a stupid way of thinking but I'm that guy, so...

He would make a good chef! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:If he only knew what a corrupting influence you are...
:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I think it’s more a question about what kind of forum you want to have than about what effect it has on the players.
I've noticed it's always somebody else who is the moron.
But he is most definitely NOT okay with calling people out for calling people out.
Agreed. Fans will even claim some aren't "Proper" fans, or "fan enough". :scream:It's a fan message board. Hypocrisy and deflection is pretty much the norm on all of them.
Everybody claims to be the victim.
Fans of other teams are always evil or inferior.
Duke/UNC etc will cry about the easy path we'll end up with to #9, just like we did when it happened for them.
And fans will always try to belittle other fellow fans so they can be "the big kid on the slide"
Dang it! I have a response but my own grumpy quirks won't allow me to post it here.At some point in this loop, I'm pretty certain that I got pissed off . . . . or maybe I was offended.
Perhaps I was offended that I got pissed off . . . .
Is this the Tweet thread?
I don't think you can find one person who wants Ford or Pelphrey at UK. I don't think you'll find one who wanted it at any point. When Ford's name appeared as a candidate people went insane. I know Cal did his usual "they all want Kentucky boys" deflection routine yesterday, which makes the typical posters run wild, but it's not true. If they had a choice and we had 5 blue chips from Kentucky, sure. But I will say with certainty that you would not start a poll on those comments because you already know its a lie and hyperbole to the max.
Probably don't ever wear a bustle.....how lewd
