Have been getting told that Wiseman loves Kansas better than Kentucky and Memphis.. Would not be surprised if he ended up there..
I heard a little rumor out of Memphis last week that UK is still number 1 and Vandy is number 2 if he can convince Garland to come back for his sophomore year
Memphis must have been the name of his former girlfriend, that left him thirsty..

If it’s down to Memphis and UK, he would be an IDIOT to choose Memphis.
I know he’s gonna be a top five player wherever he goes and blah blah blah.
But playing for a Blue Blood in very real contention for a national title should outweigh any hometown ********.

Man, these Memphis fans are terrible. I'm all for other fans posting here, but these guys just plain suck.
Memphis makes Detroit beautiful and Flint Water the next Fiji water sold at stores; i've been both these cities for business more times than one can count. Visiting on the company dime and when I get the Memphis assignment I beg for the flu to set in so i can get out of the trip..
How many people that are not UK fans ever think “humm, I am going to go spmewhere cool this weekend. I think I will go to Lexington”. The best thing about Lexington is UK. What else would attract you to come here?

Memphis is burning up the recruiting trail. Penny has recruited the number 21 point guard (132 player nationally), the number 27 point guard ( 159 nationally), the number 9 power forward (47 nationally), the number 21 shooting guard (106 nationally) and the number 28 power forward (120 nationally). He has only one player ranked in the top 100 nationally. Wow. That should be a national championship in the waiting. He better get Wiseman. I bet Cal is shaking in his boots.
Wiseman has higher odds of being shot in Memphis than being #1 pick, statistically speaking...
Memphis is the dirtiest city I have ever been to. Plus it is one of the crime capitals of the United States. Cal hated it so much he came to Lexington.
Memphis is a dump. Nobody visits there unless they are within driving distance or are some Elvis freak. Wiseman isn't going to think to himself "Hmmm, Memphis is more fun, so I'll go there". LOL. GTFO.
EXCEPT for having to wear a BP vest and a tactical helmet during the visit. The best thing about Memphis is that it's not Detroit!!! TO EACH HIS OWN

Memphis is a fun city. I don't get the angst in this thread. It also isn't that violent. St. Louis, similarily, is ranked as 'dangerous', but I've never felt uncomfortable there either. It's all relative anyway. Murders, etc. peaked in 1990 and have steadily dropped since. NYC has gone from 2,000 murders a year to 300 for instance.

I know Lexington isn’t overflowing with stuff to do but you also don’t have to worry about your safety everytime you leave your house.
