"However, even Wiseman himself has admitted that Memphis and Kentucky are the heavy favorites.

When asked about how Jeffries’ decision may play into his own, Wiseman once again downplayed its impact.

“We talk to each other, but if you fit well at a different college, go there,” Wiseman said to Steinberg. “We’re not trying to push each other to go to the same college.”

Wiseman also revealed he has a visit to Kansas upcoming. There was a previous report Wiseman planned to visit Kentucky in August, but it’s looking more and more like that won’t happen."

So where is info at? Where is the ****!? Where is thet report!? Well that means Carey looking more and more UK which is a better player IMO.

This is a pretty laughable . He said he might not visit in August . He never said he wasn't visiting. I mean does this need to said even? What is the funniest part is of any big man we are recruiting Wiseman still is probably the most likely Cat. There is nothing to say otherwise. Every recruiting analyst will tell you it is a true toss up with him between UK and Memphis . People act like we are going to get Carey , a kid we don't have a great shot at , yet the kid who has been the closest thing to a lock for 3 years they act like is never going to happen. Insanity. Although this is recruiting so anything could happen . Watch Carey go to Memphis and Wiseman to the G-league ( I know that ain't happening but that is just an example) .

Also Wiseman has been on campus before so why would that be a big deal anyway?

Some people just need to chill out and let Cal do his job. Wiseman most likely will visit later as others have said. To many "chicken littles " on this board.

Plus out of every big we want Wiseman is the last guy we need to visit right away. Plus tomorrow he could change his schedule and mind.

Was hoping Wiseman would go ahead and commit. I think ,like w monk and herro, that playing in hostile (used to be home) courts only strengthen players mentally. Who knows..

Kansas could probably take him, but I think Hurt and JRE are priority recruits. We'll probably lose D. Lawson, U. Azubuike and De Sousa. That would allow for a rotation of McCormack, JRE, and Wiseman in the post. Hurt will play on the perimeter.

He’s going to UK or Memphis. Most likely Memphis.

Penny better strike while the iron is hot because once he has a season under his belt and the losses are piling up, it's all over. He better get these guys to sign in the fall in blood because if they wait til spring, they will go elsewhere.

There are still plenty of guys for us to focus on. If you go by Dook boards they think they have Carey in the bag. I'm hoping we go hard after Oscar and Kofi.

Lol..,.KU will take any highly rated recruit...they usually have to pay kids to attend there.

Could probably take him....LMAO. Who is the last highly rated recruit KU said, “Thanks, but no thanks” to?

All, if he'd rather pick an unproven coach who's never coached one second in D-1 basketball over the best program in the nation, with the best tradition, with a Hall of Fame coach then let him go. If he picks Memphis then it's his loss.

Could not agree more with your post. Don't sweat it. Cal will move on if he finds out Wiseman is leaning Memphis. If he is still recruiting him I like our chances. If Cal gets another big man before Wiseman announces then we all will know.

Those we waited on that went somewhere else and we were left holding an empty bag when we didn't offer some others who were just as good.

The Skal experience hurt us on recruiting fives.

Fwiw- I haven’t heard he has officially canceled or has even made that decision. It has long been trending that way, but I think the article jumps the gun a bit.
Cal had been still pushing for a visit, and Memphis trying to close it fast. I could be wrong but I don’t think that changed.

It would be nice to have Wiseman, but I feel he is a bit overrated. I hope, and I’m sure he does, That coach has a Plan B.
