I think the Ohio State defense, coupled with him maybe hitting a wall had something to do with it. He was very close to breaking the Freshmen rushing record going into the game. The walk on Whsky lineman just didn't quite have enough heart.
Maybe they didn't care enough?

It really is. Great for Neb in the future, but makes the west look very bad. Wish we could get a Mich or Ohio St in ours to help even things out a bit.

Even though Wisky made it a game, at least on paper, it saddens me to see how far behind we’ve become. I mean, Wisconsin was getting destroyed in the first half. And that was just one of two teams in that game that when playing us, made us look like the fcs teams of old.

Wiskys, Iowa, mich st, etc, those teams are so behind in the cfb world when it comes to offense. Lining up in power-I and running straight isn't football anymore. Cfb is about exploiting the rules (IE: targeting) and terrible college DBs. Corner back is the hardest position on the field and when you line up in shotgun and throw deep all the time, you're making college DBs make plays they can't make without committing a pass interference. I mean look at the NFL; the Pats come out in shotgun 95% of the time. Billy B lines up in shotgun on 4th n 2 and never punts inside the enemy 40 like these dumb college coaches do. Every coach should be running what BB runs.

I'm beyond excited to have a coach now that will be spreading these slow BIG teams out.

I agree...
Wisconsin is "good" because they have a formula and it is not so much what they do it is who they play each year. The West should be auto-wins for the most part...they know that so they play it smart and safe. Non-con games get masked with fake good teams...before you know it you have 9 wins.

The problem I see in Iowa and Wisconsin is they like there slow plodding offense pretty good defense beat up on lesser opponents but can't beat opponents with speed and the stupid part is there not going to change 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Ohio state did what Nebraska did to Florida in 1996 fiesta bowl, stop the run first, you take away two ints and that game would have been ugly
