The battle for the heartland trophy is on the line in Iowa City. The Badgers (5-2) come to town fresh off a beatdown of USC. The Hawkeyes (5-2) are coming off one of the most embarrassing loses in years to the Gophers.

I have gone back and forth all week on this game. This morning, I feel slightly more optimistic that Ferentz and company are going to come out angry. Give me the hawks 17-13.

There have been some posters on here this week going off the deep end that we should play Sully and Besser at QB. They said the season isnt going anywhere, Hank and Heck wont be starters or even at Iowa next year, so go with the youth.

I had to tell these posters that an action like that leads to a 5-7 Iowa record and not even a bowl game and those extra practice sessions.

I feel the hawkeyes rallying together, no strange punting formations that lead to blocked punts, total ball security, new ways to get our runners in open space, ahead of the chains, tough smashing defense and corraling their running qb, etc etc

Wisconsin was one of seven founding schools in the Big Ten back in 1896 (including the U of Chicago). Iowa and Indiana joined three years later.

Ohio State joined in 1912, Michigan State is a youngster coming aboard in 1949.

Those people are the dumbest of the dumb a$$es.

It really tells all the players the coaching staff has given up on them and they don't care. Hell of a thing to do to the players especially the seniors. Nice ammunition for recruiting against Iowa.
