Don’t know if this has been posted or not but he will not play Saturday.
Looked decent. Certainly better than our 2nd team QB.Simmons played vs Michigan.
He Wisconsin's 3rd qb this year
They ran for 2.8 yards a carry last weekend. 75 yards. We'll see about that. As usual it's the offensive side of the ball I'm worried about.Wisconsin is going to try to run the football... and they just might do it.
They will, but not well enough to score many points. Wisconsin won't crack 20 without the help of turnovers. Normally that's a win, but for the 10,000th time, the question is what will the Iowa offense do because they will also struggle mightily to crack 20 points. I like the Hawks 16-13, but it could easily be the other way. Take the points and the Under.Wisconsin is going to try to run the football... and they just might do it.
Wisconsin is the only team in the B1G with a statistically worse offense than Iowa. They aren't scoring a lot of points on the Iowa defense. They don't have to to win the game, but that's another story altogether.we frequently defend badly in games we don’t have scouting material. hope that will not be the case against wi. i watched the first half only but wi looked good against mi on the road
We have scouting material for all three QBs. The challenge would be preparing for all three if they have different strengths and/or the UW game plan varies significantly depending on who plays.we frequently defend badly in games we don’t have scouting material. hope that will not be the case against wi. i watched the first half only but wi looked good against mi on the road
Nooooooo wayWisconsin is going to try to run the football... and they just might do it.
Yep this is a sure win. Our offense could have a terrible game and we still win by 10 plus.27-9. Iowa should be able to run well on them.
Not worried about their QB or running game much.
They have never really impressed me…so without having watched them I am not concerned. They normally have a salty OL and rush, but their program seems to be trending down ever since they took a pass on keeping Jim Leonard…What’s the story on Wisconsin QBs?
Mobile? Statue? Iowa D can feast?
We threw the ball 10 times and crushed their assesApparently they are doing the 42 push up thing to remind them of the woodshedding last year + the burn the boats game. I like it. All that is off the table once we punch them in the trenches again...LFG Iowa...
Backwards?Wisconsin is going to try to run the football... and they just might do it.
Yep this is a sure win. Our offense could have a terrible game and we still win by 10 plus.
Kirk will take the air out of the ball this weekend! My prediction is a 70/30 run/pass ratio. Avg pass attempt will be less than 5 yards. They will, but not well enough to score many points. Wisconsin won't crack 20 without the help of turnovers. Normally that's a win, but for the 10,000th time, the question is what will the Iowa offense do because they will also struggle mightily to crack 20 points. I hope Phil don't back off the pressure. I liked what they did against Indiana. Bring it.Wisconsin is going to try to run the football... and they just might do it.
Dolph said this week on a radio show they average just over 100 yards a game rushing, and then he laughed and said Ron Dayne used to get that much in a quarter.Wisconsin is going to try to run the football... and they just might do it.
I bet they run for over 100 against us. I think we win if we hold them under 125 rushing.Dolph said this week on a radio show they average just over 100 yards a game rushing, and then he laughed and said Ron Dayne used to get that much in a quarter.
That’s not true.Iowa has a history of letting backup QB's look like Peyton Manning
104 is the high water mark for teams against Iowa this year. Both losses, but that is completely unrelated. I'm not that concerned about anyone gouging with the run.I bet they run for over 100 against us. I think we win if we hold them under 125 rushing.
Especially a ****** team with an offense worse than ours.104 is the high water mark for teams against Iowa this year. Both losses, but that is completely unrelated. I'm not that concerned about anyone gouging with the run.
It cost Iowa the game when Iowa sent the house on Indiana's td drive.I hope Phil don't back off the pressure. I liked what they did against Indiana. Bring it.
I haven't care this little about a Wisconsin Iowa game in about 20 years
Did it? I thought maybe it was the ****** offense play when we had the ball with just over two minutes to play deep in their end. We got that pick because pressure was on the Indy QB. If only Lutmer could have found a way to run it all the way back.Cost

I thought Wisky has one of the best run defense in the B1G. Isn't that their strength?27-9. Iowa should be able to run well on them.
That has frequently been the case with opposing QB’s vs. the Iowa QB for several years.I watched their QB, Simmons against Michigan . . . seems as good or better than any QB we have.
If our offense has a terrible game where are we getting the 10 point margin?Yep this is a sure win. Our offense could have a terrible game and we still win by 10 plus.
