This, I respect Wiscy, 5 1st round draft picks on their OL right now, that's impressive. The uncertainty will be their D, expect their QB to improve somewhat as well.
Didn't Iowa and northwestern accuse whisk of using hgh or steroids about the same time Nebraska was joining the big 10? I seem to have read of heard something about

Well just watch the game. Purdue played just as good as them all game. Watch the NW game and the Michigan game. Those teams played just as good as wisky (@wisky) and they came away with close wins. Good for them. Then they actually ran into a team that runs a spread O and has athletes.. got waxed by OSU. With Brohm, Frost, and Fleck in the West now running spread, their days of dominating this horrid division are numbered.
Youre seeing what you want to see because of pre concieved biases. Its obvious, because you couldnt be more inaccurate.

lol how so? I just watched that entire Purdue/Wisky game the other day. Purdue had a blocked punt for 6 until the runner pulled his hamstring and Purdue also had a pick 6 but the LB didn't wait for his blocks and let Horny push him out. Purdue played just as good as Wisky and the OSU game was never in doubt even with JT playing as bad as he did. Wisky played well vs Miami, I'll give them that. Their best win in 2 years. We have all seen what Wisky does vs good teams in the BIG Title game. Wax jobs.

Well now, tap dance around it with some interesting non-important information unrelated to what I said. I see you like to make things sound good by bringing in things that are totally irrelevant but that's OK.

What does Suh finishing 4th in the Heisman have to do with the Wisconsin QB? I admit, you got me on that one. You said he wasn't good at all - apparently others thought otherwise, not my opinion, it was theirs.

I will remember to watch him next time with eyes open, that must be my mistake - I promise not to look at his win-loss record as well just to make you happy. Personally, I don't care who "you" would rather have, that was not even the point. sigh

I didn't compare the quality of the 80's and 90's Nebraska teams to Wisconsin, just the style of running the ball first which was actually the subject. sigh # 2

Uh, you likely won't see me in November but I will be the happiest Husker in Kansas if we win the west in 18. My question is do you really believe that will happen? Second thought, I am done. I used my eyes and what I was seeing doesn't add up. Take care and I hope you are right in 18.
You are right about Hornibrook. It is easy to underestimate Horny because he isn't a flashy big play Russell Wilson type guy they had in 2011, more like a typical "game manager" type QB they usually field. They count on him to make clean hand-offs and when necessary, make the right read and complete the pass to keep the drive alive. In that role, he does a pretty good job.

Wisconsin has always relied heavily on TEs to augment their ground game. If the Badger's offense sputters this year, my guess is that the guys they have to replace his favorite target (Fumagali - yes he finally graduated) aren't performing like they need.

The teams that are able to beat Wisconsin are teams with great run defenses. If you can augment that great runs D with a few quick scores, you can force them to beat you with their QB and change their gameplan.

Hornibrook isn’t a guy that will win you a bunch of games, he won’t lose you many either. However his stats against good teams are very pedestrian

Definitely. If you don't stop or at least slow down the Badger's ground game, you are in for a long afternoon. 7,8,9 minute scoring drives are their bread and butter. Even when they are behind, though, they will stay with their power running schemes. They won't abandon it until they have to.

Who steps up at TE. The rest of the offense returns though and Hornibrook did put it together in bowl win.

Only 4 returning starters are back on defense, but many expect 2nd year DC Jim Leonard will find a way to reload.
