Probably need to root for Wisconsin because we play them twice as opposed to Sparti who we only play once...

I think this shows they are both vulnerable. Maybe the”gauntlet “ isn’t quite as tough as predicted. Tough but possible to win 1 or 2 of the games. But we need to take care of business before we get there.

The perceived top tier Big Ten teams are having some difficulty winning at home which just shows the parity in the league.Michigan State loses at home to Nothwestern and then defeats Wisconsin on the road,Purdue loses to Wisconsin at home but later defeats Illinois on the road.I would not be surprised that the team that wins the Big Ten Championship wll have at least five league losses.

Wisconsin was missing Wall and Illinois was missing Kofi

you know both of them play when we match up against them.

We did face shorthanded Michigan and Nebraska without Trey McGowens. And likely shorthanded Minnesota today. Can't say we haven't been lucky with opponents missing players.

Most years, a conference that has 20 games, usually has the 1st place team with 5 to 6 losses. There are some exceptions in smaller conferences or mid-majors, but once you start getting to these leagues, even the 1 and 2 seeds finish the season with 6 to 8 total losses. (24-7, 23-8) then tack on a couple of conference tournament games, which could ultimately add another loss.

It wouldn't surprise me to see a 3 way tie for 1st this year with years at 14-6.

We could do 14-6.

You’re probably right, but man, the juice at the RAC when we play the rematch (we have to play Wisky on the road first) for both teams will be off the charts. How sweet will it be to beat Illinois with Kofi, at a raucous RAC in mid-February?
